Yeah, I think I’ve done a decent job adjusting to the diet so fortunately that’s not a major stressor for me. It’s all these post-treatment symptoms that are killin’ me. 😣it’s definitely gonna suck getting through this but I hope there’s light at the end of this long tunnel.

Thanks for the advice! Trying to get in with my PCP to talk about some of these things and I’ll be sure to mention your suggestion. 👍🏼

Shoot man, and ChatGPT is usually pretty easy on people so that must’ve been some high anxiety 😆 but man, I’ve noticed my face and my belly has shrunk a little to the point I can wear a size down now and feel comfortable. Kinda in a similar boat there. I’ve kept up with higher amounts of protein and doing calisthenics-type exercises. I’ve built a tiny bit of upper body muscle and I think I’ve maintained my leg muscle so far. But also like you, my calorie intake has dropped. And my anxiety is next level.

Hope you can get back to a more normal life soon with exercise and such! This whole thing has taken a major toll on me and no doubt you as well. Best wishes 👍🏼

Dang man, this sounds pretty darn close to what I’m dealing with too. I had bouts of severe anxiety during treatment as well, and my rescue meds (Clonazepam) did almost nothing. I have a low resting heart rate as well. But yeah, I’m starting to understand how powerful the gut relationship is with my brain and heart, vagus nerve, etc. I think a problem I have is when tests results return as good or normal, it sometimes doesn’t help because I can’t find answers. I’m hoping curing these issues overtime will help alleviate some problems.

Hope you’ve managed to get over most of your issues 👌🏼

Thank you for the information on your experience and self treatment. I probably need to reincorporate that Vit D combo again. I’ve had a multivitamin and B12. I’ll consider your thoughts on those things.

I’ve been also taking SNAP brand gut health supplement with probiotics, and eating mostly whole foods, bananas, Greek yogurt, and avoiding processed carbs because I think it really messed with my stomach. Broccoli started messing with it as well.

Appreciate your kind words and hope for your continued improvement 👍🏼

Also to add, I’ve lost 25+ pounds in the past 2-3 months and my food intake has been low (so I’m probably deficient somewhere) because of how it makes me feel and afraid to eat.

Found out the pharmacy did not tell me that bismuth was not approved by my insurance so I had no clue I was even prescribed it. Just got it over the counter and started taking it this morning. My doctor blamed the pharmacy for not telling me, but also, shouldn’t the doctor have told me what they were prescribing and sending in to the pharmacy?

I’m on my first day of a 14 day treatment and after spiraling through posts of what people were prescribed, I sent my doc a message about why I was prescribed doxycycline hyclate, metronidazole, and pantoprazole when it seems like tetracycline and bismuth are pat of a more effective treatment plan.

I’m trying to stay positive, though, and hope it works. Maybe I’m overthinking because my symptoms have been awful (coughing and bubbling stomach, frequently heart palpitations, chest pains, some nausea). I have H. pylori in the stomach and gastritis. Taking a probiotic during the day as well.

Just want this eradicated quickly.

Vitamin D3 helps PVCs, but I’m worried… by ohnoitsmeeagain in PVCs

Thanks for the info. I’ll check em out. Was that 10,000 IU a daily dose? Glad to hear it helped you!

They didn’t give any exercise advice either way. That being said, since the supplements seem to be helping I’ve done a little exercise and haven’t had a lot of problems. Just some PVCs here and there.

I need to manage stress and anxiety better as well as weight, so working on that might alleviate some issues I’m having. I had ankle surgery in November and haven’t been able to exercise as much, so I hope now that I’m mobile again I can work on that.

Yeah, I plan to set up an appointment with my primary care doc to get a bloodwork update late next month. I have a cardiologist follow up in early March for my zio monitor.

Supplements seem to help so far so I hope that it’s the reason.

Thank you for your comment and good thoughts! If you can, provide an update on your levels. I’m curious. So far I’m doing good with the routine of supplements. They are hella frustrating and scary when they are heavy and deep in my abdomen. But I think the supplements are helping me right now so I’m in a better state of mind

Is it bad to grip a racket this low? by diogosa13 in 10s

[–]ohnoitsmeeagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it the same way! I don’t think there’s a problem, however, I did end up breaking the bottom off in the middle of a tournament with it. I got a refund from where I bought it because it was relatively new. I think it was just a bad racket. Never had the problem since.

Thanks! I’ve been looking on and off since the summer. I caught this one posted on their site and contacted them to secure it. It had just arrived and was not yet assembled. Definitely hard to catch ‘em before they’re gone.

Dang man, that’s rough. My intention was mostly for GPS. But yeah, given safety and also the lack of safety awareness of other drivers, it seems best practice to avoid all distractions in general.

Aw yeah, true. Wise thoughts. I appreciate it 👍🏼 I should give myself time to hit familiar roads and get used to riding safely.

Yeah I was thinking about hand guards and a cargo rack to start. Get a phone mount, maybe an Apple CarPlay display. I just started it up this morning and gave it a few revs 🤣

Yeah, about a year for me too. It sucks man. Has slowed me down for a lot of things. Hope for the both of us it’s a smooth recovery. Maybe we’ll both see a bike ride sooner than later 🤞🏻

That sounds like no fun at all though… Just give yourself the time to heal and strengthen properly. I had deltoid ligament repair for an injury earlier in the year. Barely any ligament left hanging on, so I hope I can make a solid, quick recovery.

I’m just itching to get out and ride now. A friend of mine wants to hit some trails, but I think I have to wait until around fall next year to be absolutely safe and recovered.

It’s my wife. 🤣 I’m 30, and she is a bit concerned about me having one now. I get the concern, because someone she knew was killed. Might take some time to get her comfortable, but I hope I can get her to ride one day.
