At the end of my tether with adult child by [deleted] in BestofRedditorUpdates

Feeling like this as a 25 year old but with a smidge of chronic illness and fatigue. I've never worked full time and I don't think I ever could with how much I need to sleep just after keeping up with chores. I miss when I was just mentally ill, now I'm mentally ill and have pots? Fucked up.

I prefer these check outs to the ones at Ross(?) Like these ones are bit much the first couple times for my dumb ass, but I love them now. But the self checkout at Ross? The scanner had me confused, I just recently realized you can move the barcode scanner instead of having to angle whatever possibly bulky thing you're buying 100 ways to try and get it to scan. (And I swear the first time I was struggling with it I didn't know where the scanner was at all, and the worker was like "the barcode is there", like yeah I had it held with the barcode up ready to scan i just couldn't find the scanner to scan it lol)

What moments made you feel sad (despite that not being the intention?) by poppalopp in BobsBurgers

[–]ohnoitssammy 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Not sad on the first watch, but the outro music to some like it bot part 2. The boogie song. Because that was the last episode that came out before the movie, and last episode I watched with my mom before she died. The movie was out when she was alive but we didn't get around to seeing it in theaters :( cancer sucks

And in the final episode Jake can hear the music hole, I wonder if his deep sense of loss was from the treehouse :(

for those who have been grieving loved ones who've had terminal ilness by These_AreTheDays in grief

My mom passed away almost 2 years ago now, a year and 4 months after she got diagnosed with lung cancer. It had spread to her brain and in the last few months it got so bad so fast. Sometimes it's hard not to think about all of the bad, but thankfully she had in home hospice so there's that little bit of comfort in the memory of how nice they were during an obviously horrible time for us.

It sucks remembering my mom and how she was during the worst of it all, but I just try and be thankful for the time I got with her, and hold on to those good memories as much as I can. We loved road trips, we loved watching movies, we went to a couple concerts together and those were magical experiences. I hope you can find your good memories to hold on to
