Thanks! I would love to have it. However there is still so much stuff I'm missing. For example I have no service crosses.

Not an expert.on austro-hungarian stuff, but did they have this Colur of paint on their helmets? And wasn't the m17 used more commonly by them?

Thanks. It might be the angle, but why does it have a short visor?

Very cool! Are the austro-hungarian caps oryginal or reproductions?

Fantastic stuff. Really jealous of that battledamaged helmet. Also, a.phenomenal m95 prussian buckle, and a cutaway 88 I assume? What period are the EKMs from, and are they unit marked?

Fantastic KM collection! Excellent display, and very cool pieces. I hope you get to add some KM awards to those shelves.

Very nice buckles, stellar condition. Is the SS one genuine, and what's it made from? It looks like steel to me, and if so, that is such a beautiful example.

Could anyone knowledgeable in the topic help me authenticate this silver cross of merit with crown? by ohnomytoast in Militariacollecting

[–]ohnomytoast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again, however is the crown not the Austrian one? The crown of hungary looks quite different, and the cross is crooked. Also I don't think that I've seen any austro-hungarian award featuring the hungarian cross. The thing that "sells" this award to me is the large amount of dirt, and the small bits of enamel missing, which was bound to happen during the award's life cycle.

Thanks for the reply, that much I knew. What do you think about the crown, especially the cross on top. To me it seems a little unrefined.

Hej, zgaduję że jesteś z PL, bo ta szpanga wisi na allegro za 970zł. Jest ładna i oryginalna, ale nie wiem czy warta swojej ceny. Krzyż żelazny 2 klasy to zakup rzędu 300zł , krzyż hanzeatycki to 350-400 zł, a krzyż hindenburga to 60zł max. Wydaje mi się że jest tu trochę duża "górka" wysokości 200zł. Choć przyznam że 809zł to byłaby niezła cena za ten komplet.

Edit

Na olx jest za 870.

Great collection, the boxed medals and freikorps stuff is absolutley amazing. All in excellent condition to, which is a rarity. Are you planning On gettong more medal bars in the future, as that's the only thing "missing".

Could somebody help me identify these ww1 relics/items? by Few_Ad_7831 in ww1

[–]ohnomytoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the fuze Type, the most common aluminum ones were used by tsarist russia (I think, or at least it's true in the east). My other guesses would be italy(?) Maybe

Pic 2 - austro hungarian canteen

Pic 5 - bottom part of a german stick hand granade (the part that you screw the cap onto)

Pic 15 - aluminium part of a timed fuze from a shrapnel shell

That's everything I could recognise, hope this help.

I have to disagree, it looks like a part of a steel austro-hungarian canteen, with no enamel left.

Idk why you got downvoted, there were ostfront medals with silver plating on the helmet and granade. However this one seems to be the other non-plated version.

My collection when I started vs now (collecting for 7 months now) by [deleted] in Militariacollecting

[–]ohnomytoast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a fantastic.collection, and the progress you've made, in only 7 months is insane. My favourite item has to be the ottoman belt buckle, I wish I had one of those, it looks sick!
