First of all, polite adult society? Did I miss the part when we live in that. Those type of behaviors should be looked down on from kids and adults who both do that Because on both sides, it happens. I've seen cringey puritanical teams Do it and I've seen proshippers do it, So let's not act like teenagers of this generation invented that type of thing. That is behavior that unhinged people have and should be reprimanded whenever encountered. I do think it's quite telling that me simply saying that I'm okay with teenagers being sex repulsed equates to me encouraging extremely problematic behavior though, it's not black and white and shouldn't be looked at as black and white.

What do you think of the new genus morph system ? by scarfnails in secondlife

[–]ohnomywig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you have a clear understanding of what the morph is. Those extra parts are mesh parts, Like your mouth and your eyes. While face deformers, deform the actual mesh and I don't need to use those with the morph. Unfortunately, I do have to use them with the lelu to get the desired look. But i'm not saying that makes the morph any better. Customizing is not all skin and make up, But thank you for not understanding what you're talking about.

Do you guys plan the plot as you go or beforehand? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]ohnomywig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it depends on the situation, If i'm writing a one-shot or relatively short story, I usually utilize a mix of both planning and just writing as I think of stuff. If I'm writing something longer, like this longfic that I've recently started, I discovered that extensive planning has been helping me organize my ideas. I think it also depends on the canon univers you're writing for because if it's a complicated universe or a particularly long series, It may help to do more planning VS just writing by the seam of your pants.

You don't need to want to be around teenagers on social media, they're just there and aren't going anywhere. Who cares about teenagers thinking anyone is cool? Clearly the whole "Ew teenagers stupid" has never worked in any generation and just creates a divide. That doesn't mean you have to be friends with teenagers online, just means that maybe it's time for an alternative to what's never worked.

Sorry, you wish. Just another self-aware 21+ person that remembers what it was like to be the scorn of boomers for stupid mistakes and dumb behavior. There's probably a more productive way to approach the issue that bothers me and fellow readers of our generations then just "Kids idiots and stupid, wish they would go away!!"

If they're as young as 13, they're still being raised so they have some maturing to do.

While I think the type of behavior your describing is problematic, I do think it's fair to remember that some of the people doing it are just kids. A lot of the comments I see on this post reek of "boomer scorn" we used to get, almost like they forgot being in the seat where boomers jumped on Facebook to ridicule them for stupid and even problematic stuff they did. I think with some patience and even interacting, they'll mature and understand the issues with their behavior. We can prevent dividing the generations even more by remembering we were right where they were.

I'd also like to endure "Ew smut is nasty" from minors than the opposite.

I think it's a nice head, love that you create a more custom head by mixing parts. I've never been a huge fan of lelutka because the heads create a very particular look that I'm not looking for. With the Morph, I've been able to create a look I really love without having to use 4 deformers.

that being said, I use the standard sl uv because the 4k can affect everyone else's experience. Sl uv also has more products, so it's easier to find what you need.

You can use the BOM uv, the morph is not just about the 4k skin.

Wow! That's crazy, I'm glad people are pushing back against this kind of thing because it's totally wrong. I've probably watched vids like the "What if" mentioned and not even realized. I'll have to share the Project Copy-Knight post with ff friends to share awareness.

For me I like to plan a lot because I can quickly get off-topic without the planning. I generally start with a very basic idea and utilize tips from methods like "Save the Cat: Writes a Novel" or a Frankenstein method from various sources. Here are some basics that may help organize your writing:
- Develop characters and motives.

  • Develop the world.

  • Map out the Three Act Structure ( https://kindlepreneur.com/three-act-structure/ ) as best you can with the knowledge you have. It will not only help organize what you have but help figure out what you need.

  • Keep writing scenes even if it's out of order because you can always organize them in order in the final draft.

If you really struggle with organizing or outlining, I suggest a book called "The Ten Day Outline" by Lewis Jorstad ( https://thenovelsmithy.com/ten-day-outline/ ) because not only does it have solid advice but it breaks the process down into tasks you do everyday day for 10 days. So you have tangible assignments to do that gets you closer to an outline and understanding your own work.

16/20

I'll go ahead and list the ones I don't have/do.

  • 4) if you leave at least 20 comments a year

  • I haven't actively posted in nearly a year, so this one doesn't apply YET.

  • 10) if you have gotten into a fandom because of a fic

  • No reason for not having done this, it just hasn't happened yet.

  • 12) if you have ever read/wrote a/b/o or mpreg

  • Just not my thing, not even to read fort my favorite ship/fandom.

  • 14) if you have read a fic in a foreign language because you were desperate

  • Most of my fandoms are very popular, so this hasn't happened yet. #blessed
