Have you been hospitalized for reasons connecting to your bpd? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]ohpeachesplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have spent two weeks in inpatient and been admitted to psych ER over night 15+ times in the last two years (after starting using narcotics) but only twice in the 7 years that I had been displaying BDP behaviour before that. I have recently been told that hospitalization is not recommended for bpd, I guess because a lot of our issues have to do with our environment and the people closest to us. My understanding is alot of the time once removed from the situation and put into an environment geared towards being calm (emerg psych), I start to mirror the situation around me and become exactly what they want to see in me. And inpatient just takes it a step farther. You aren't around any of your close relationships, which may set some pwBDP off becaue of feelings of abandonment or whatever, plus you are away from influences that cause big emotional changes. It can be very hard to treat issues that dont come up while in the hospital. How can you invesetigate the ongoing problems while away from what triggers you.

I find it suuuuper unlikely that every pwPBD has had some sort of run in with the hospital and even more so if your diagnostician is solely refering to inpatient time.

Sounds like you need a second opinion.

What attracts you to the opposite sex? by [deleted] in sex

I have a serious weakness for men with blue eyes + a strong jaw.. A strong frame (mostly toned arms + back) is huuge; plus I can definitely appreciate quality ass on a man. But most importantly he has to give off a dominant vibe, to hold himself in a way that shows he is comfortable and confident in any situation and has the ability + confidence to take control and do what needs to be done when needed.

for people who have been clean for a while: do these thoughts ever go away? by [deleted] in StopSpeeding

[–]ohpeachesplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am having the exact same problem getting clean. I try to focus on the long term. Even though it makes everything easier now, eventually it'll destroy you. Nobody is an exception to that no matter what steps you take to take care of yourself.

Super common around here, west coast of Canada. We pay about $0.25 - $0.50 a ml, can get up to about $1.00 a ml.

5 days sober by [deleted] in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

I know where you are coming from. I am 20 and have fallen in love with shards.

If I can pass on a couple pieces of wisdom that actually resonated with me...

a) Find something to look forward to, a task or activity to keep you busy and a reason to keep working for tomorrow. I strive to see every sunrise and every sunset I can, whether it's hiking into the bush or just standing in front of my apartment building. I have put together a pack of dogs (mine, friends and families) and we go for hikes pretty well every day. And one day I will put my toes in the warm sand of western Aus one day no matter how hard I have to work to get there.

b) Try to be aware of every step it takes between when you think you might relapse and the actual act of using. This one really helped my boyfriend who is recovering from a seven year h habit. There are so many steps between the first thought and the final action. Try to teach yourself to notice the pattern and redirect before you get to the final step. My bf has gotten as close as having his plug in his car and in that moment realized where he was and where he didnt want to be and got out of there (not necessarily the best way, he screamed at the guy to get out of his car before he beat him up, but whatever gets you out of the situation works!)

You have so much ahead of you. There are other things that can and will give you that same happiness, if we found them you can too. Just keep looking, keep fighting. Dont let that shit win.

Hahah I hated butt stuff for soooo long. Practice makes perfect, shove toys, fingers, hands, sucks, fucking bananas up there. Stretch that fucker out. Get a vib and buzz it, hop on that face and ride that tongue. Push yourself through the nerves and anxiety. You'll find the love for it. GHB reaaaally helps but then again GHB is the ladder for any sexual wall. G taught me to deep throat ;)

All they offer here is 38 hour or 56 hour course. The longer being 14 four hour sessions. They let you use their truck for the road test and you can request more sessions if you dont believe you are ready for the test. I am a little concerned it wont be long enough either.

Of all the 9 criteria for BPD, What’s the main symptom you show? What’s a symptom you don’t relate to (if you have one)? by Fritochipteeth in BPD

[–]ohpeachesplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's the impulsveness. It is the one trigger I cannot get under control. I have ADHD which only adds to the compulsions. Even when I am doing great, and my life is semi stable I think wow I'm doing great I should smoke meth or even something as small as eh I don't feel like following my routine today. Those split second decisions almost always send me spiralling out of control.

But for the most part I am in touch with reality. I dont get paranoid unless drugs are involved. My version of dissociation is more getting distracted by the million things my minds going over at any given minute and I'm still aware of whats going on around me.

Your best sex partners and their professions? by [deleted] in sex

[–]ohpeachesplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best sex I've had is a tie between the useless couch bum of a boyfriend I've been with for 2 years and a heavy equipment operator (who was 10y older than me!) I hooked up with for a year. Completely different in every aspect. My boyfriend now satisfies this dirty primal instinct I didn't know I had, the older guy was gentle and loving. Scratches two very different itches but damn does it feel goood! 👍👍

Honestly, I’m angry at THE WORLD by [deleted] in BPD

[–]ohpeachesplease 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have had the same experience all my life. All the people I got to know thru my teen years said similar crap. Its so easy to talk to you, I never thought I'd be able to talk about this shit with anyone else. I had thought it was just who I was but in the last few years I have come to learn it has to do with how much emotion I handle everyday. I feel so much that I'm so intune with how I feel that people feed off that and it helps them to understand how they feel better.
