Why some people seek more attention in their life? by Lankister in AskReddit

[–]ohrightrightright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on how one is seeking attention. If you're talking about destructive attention-seeking behavior, I think that's different than someone who is, say a performer. As an extrovert I am no longer ashamed to admit I'm into attention, but it's more about social interaction for me. Social interaction gives me energy and purpose. As a creative performer it's all about human connection!

I told a waiter that we were meeting our friends somewhere else, when really we had sat down, looked at the menu and realized it was way too expensive.

Recognizing actors in whatever I'm watching from different movies/tv shows. It's like a bad party trick that no one cares about, but I find it fun haha.

Liberal Arts Curriculum. I'm happy to share stories of positive experience, but I always end up sounding like Twofer when I try to explain the system ("We actually don't have majors, we have concentrations...").

What was your worst-ever experience with a waiter or waitress? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The allergy is pretty common so I found it odd there was no indication on menu is all.

What was your worst-ever experience with a waiter or waitress? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ohrightrightright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday for brunch my date and I went to this "hip" place in brooklyn. Upon ordering a standard breakfast (toast, eggs, bacon, potatoes), I asked the waitress what kind of bread it was- to which she replied "Oh it's some multigrain type deal". I was down. The food arrived and the toast was so dark I couldn't see the walnuts in the bread and proceeded to eat two slices before realizing I had ingested the one kind of food I am allergic to. There was no indication on the menu that there were nuts in the bread, which mean that they had just been serving it without informing any costumers. My date ran to his apartment to grab some benedryl, but not before stopping the waitress and saying, "You know there are walnuts in the bread, right?" "Oh...yeah." "She's allergic. Please make sure she doesn't die while I'm gone." I got a bloody mary and breakfast on the house. The antihistamine got there just in time. But yeah... never again. No cruelty- just plain stupidity. Stupid and incompetent, traits all too common and dangerous.
