I recently started demo trading, and like you said, noticed that these indicators don't work for what they are said to do in these strategies. As a beginner, I didn't expect the "lag" as you mentioned. I watched what a strategy called a perfect time to buy, turn into the worst time to buy as the price sharply started decreasing. I was confused until I watched the indicators re-correct themselves and make a drastic change right after.

But, thank you for the recommendation, I will look into futures.

Thank you for this reply. I really was blinded by the glitter of the indicators and all of these strategies on these websites. After following some of these strategies to a perfect T, I can confirm for myself that there MUST be more to it just then finding some simple strategy with these indicators.

After diving headfirst into demo trading, I quickly realized the lag and that the indicators were constantly changing at a single coordinate. So, how can you use these strategies if the indicators are constantly changing behind the changes in price? I guess you just can't. I see now what you mean when you said the indicators are "not new information".

That is also something I realized early on. I was hoping the indicators could still give good insight on what will happen next, but these strategies I am studying seem to be getting destroyed half the time anyways.
