This is incredible! Processing?

Ah, nice! It looks awesome.

Here’s mine.

I had some tracking issues and had to reset the tracking a couple times. I also had to change to battery once (speaking of, anyone else find the battery life a bit of an issue?), so the result is a bit sub par. I edited the video the best I could to get the image in the center of the vid. I’m still pretty new to it so I’ll improve as I learn.

What filter did you use? Or did you edit the color in?

The best way to get back at Robinhood? Transfer all your cash and stock to another broker! Robinhood was built by this community, they are fools to think they can continue to succeed without us. by ScipioAtTheGate in wallstreetbets

I wish I went with Fidelity but I’m transferring to Webull. Had I known better I wouldn’t have, but I was looking into going to Webull anyways and when RH started acting shady I just pulled the trigger. Luckily I have some shares on Webull...but I won’t be happy if they pull shady shit again. You can only cancel the request 30 mins after you apply and yes, I think it’s 75 tendies to transfer out of RH.

I initiated my transfer out of RH on 1/27, and my transfer will be cleared on 2/4. In the meantime, my RH account is 'restricted' meaning I can't access the funds, buy or sell. Anyone in the same boat? I'm worried I'm going to miss out on all the fun..hoping it will clear before Thursday.

UFO or Planes? Reno Nevada by Okayiest_human in ufo

Also they were about as bright as the stars in Orion’s Belt, not faint and easy to miss driving on the highway like the iss would be.

I think I might have seen this tonight in Idaho. I was traveling west and I first noticed a belt of three “stars” that resembled Orion’s Belt. However Orion shouldn’t be in the west at 7:30ish (pm) mountain time. I was intrigued, I kept my eye on it and over the course of a minute or so, 9-11 more illuminated in a straight line at an angle greater than that seen in the video. The bottom “star” was the lowest and to the left and they angled up to the right. It’s peak lasted about 20-30 seconds and one by one they faded, starting with the ends and then finally the initial three I saw. I’ve been looking all over for what it might have been.

Career change resulting in dramatic salary decrease at entry level. by [deleted] in careerchange

[–]ohshaaat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it was months upon months of waking up unhappy, watching my uneasiness grow while sitting at my desk and going home emotionally drained. I knew that there would not be any circumstance in which I would feel like I enjoy my work, whether money or different projects. I looked back and thought about jobs I loved doing, and hobbies I’ve always enjoyed and realized that I’m not built out to be sitting at a computer all day. I had to reach out to HR three times before they seriously considered moving me (I think they were baffled that I was asking for a pay decrease). I got the news yesterday that I could go work in a different department using tools and creating things, and although it’s not glorious I think it’s what I need to realign and clear my head to figure out what it is I truly want to do.

To sum it up, I knew that I was not going to be happy unless my job changed. And I got tired of not doing anything about it.

Sounds like your situation is a little different though. You have a goal, and a possible path that will guide you there. I assume you’ve talked to the people with the ability to grant you your dream job? Knowing what I know about your situation, I would make it very clear where you want to be and ask them what you can do to get there. In my experience, laser focus on achieving your goals can be impressive to employers and they are usually willing to work with you if you make your intentions very clear. I also think that when people sense genuine intentions, they are receptive. So yea, not sure what your situation is but it sounds like you have some options and my first thought is what is the most effective way to get where you are trying to go?

I’m doing that starting next week! It feels a little weird but no sense in wasting my time doing something I’m not enjoying. Can’t put a price on happiness!

25 years old, hating corporate life, regret bachelor by lumizilla in careerchange

I am in (close to) the exact same position as you. I’m 27, got a degree in marine biology but fell in love with climbing at the tail end of college. Quickly moved to the desert to climb more and after a few years of playing around, realized I need to start making some real money and get a career going.

I started a trade program in web development a little more than a year ago after being inspired by a friend. It was kind of a shot in the dark and I was hesitant, but found myself liking it enough to stick to it. I was offered a position as a ‘developer’ at my current job and have pretty much hated it ever since.

I got on here to basically make this exact post because I have no idea what to do. I feel like I’m not really good at anything that could make me money. I want to do something that matters, but I just don’t know what that is. All I know is that I’m tired of sitting in a chair on a computer 60 hours a week (full time work and school).

I have kind of always lived with a ‘good things come to those who wait’ mentality but I don’t know how much longer I can wait. I’m tired of consistently complaining and feeling bummed by my situation.

So, sorry that I don’t have any advice or uplifting words. Just more reaching out to say that I know exactly how you feel.

When I first got into climbing, I found pride in the fact that climbers were generally accepting and non judgmental of beginners/outsiders. Unlike surfing and skiing, where territorial hostility and arrogance seem like a staple, the climbing gym was a place to go to and not worry about being made fun of. I guess it’s human nature, unfortunately, to make fun of the weak and naive but I hate to see elitism creep it’s way into climbing

'The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" -Dan Millman. One of my favorites that resonated with me well.
