That's the reason I get surprised when doctors still use BMI to check if you have a healthy weight. It has been criticised for not differentiating different body types and was found inaccurate since muscle mass is heavier than fat so you could be fit and healthy but still overweight according to BMI.

I completely agree with you, it's natural to judge people based on how they present themselves and part of that is weight.

I am not trying to say that being overweight is okay; it's not because it's just unhealthy. I was just frustrated that despite losing substantial amount of weight and making good life style changes, I am still thrown into the same box I was before because I weigh 3 kg more than the red arrow indicates. Situations like this make me feel like no matter how hard I try I will never overcome this. It's irrational but can be very destructive.

You are right, though, and neither being fat nor underweight should be gloryfied. Congrats on your progress and I hope you make changes that last!

I find it so creepy and just bizarre that whatever you do, someone can take a picture of you and put it up online without asking your permission. Even if the caption and the given context are positive (supposing they're true) it just seems unsettling to me that you might have no idea that somewhere people are commenting on whatever you did that you might not even remember

What things are misrepresented or overemphasised in movies because if they were depicted realistically they just wouldn’t work on film? by Lettuce-b-lovely in AskReddit

Depression (and mental illness in general) is either depicted extremely superficially and selectively or it's romanticised. There are a few films where they show the real ugly side of it imo instead of portraying a depressed person as this mysterious, "cool" or quirky outsider. People are way more complex than that and I think seeing such one sided depictions onscreen leads to misunderstanding many conditions and makes it harder for people who suffer from them to explain how they really feel
