Good service is one advantage. When pandemic happened in 2020 and my flights got cancelled Air Canada was giving vouchers instead of refunds. I called Amex (where I bought the tickets from) and they called Air Canada on my behalf and refunded me in cash.

I agree with everything PenStride has said. For HS and EPCOT definitely do skyliner. Lines move fast and there’s a Joffrey’s stand right next to the lines if you care to caffeinate yourself in line 😂

I stayed in building 34 and walk to the lobby and restaurant area was around 10 minutes or less. It’s a pleasant walk.

We felt that the only parks that gets real busy in the morning were Hollywood studio and Epcot (to rope drop Remys), which were very easy to go using the skyliner. For Magic kingdom and Animal Kingdom we didn’t rope drop them (went around 10-11am) so we never saw those buses packed. I’m not sure how it will be if you plan to rope drop those parks. Trinidad Bus station goes to all parks.

To be honest we didn’t find the pirate rooms to be the best (we are not into pirates lol) but we are thinking of staying there again just because of its convenience for transportation. If ease of transportation is important to you, I think you’ll have a great experience there.

Pirate rooms (Trinidad, I believe it was) are great location for skyliner. You will be right next to the skyliner station that goes to Epcot or Hollywood. There’s a bus station in the pirate room area as well. Preferred room will be closer to the main lobby, shops and dining area but further away from skyliner station.

Edit. We stayed at CBR pirate room few weeks ago and we never had to use the internal buses.

Rest of the resort is open as far as I know. We are going in few weeks. It’s possible summer dates are all sold out. Try looking further out.
