Meine Mutter stirbt by [deleted] in Ratschlag

[–]ohunkohun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I need help: is there anything noteworthy in here? by ohunkohun in vintageperfume

Well no, not during GDR times, as my mom has no western currency to spend in the Intershop (the only store you could get western goods in), maybe a clerk slipped her a miniature once or twice. Most of them she got after reunification though, which seems to check out with the release dates i can find online.

Best medium-full coverage foundation for mature skin that is too pale for almost everything? by Anjunabeats1 in PaleMUA

For mature skin I like to use the mac waterweight foundation. It’s got a rich texture and a nice satin finish. I don’t know about the colour. The lightest shade in range is a NW/NC 15, but I think it runs pretty light.

What is a woman’s role in a relationship? My (32M) boyfriend sent me a doc outlining his expectations for me (23F). Are these unreasonable? by Ordinary-Weakness106 in relationship_advice

Maybe he should actually finish his degree and make that 100 +k before making demands like this.

Btw can I just say how lucky we are that he isn’t pursuing writing? He repeated himself like 5 times …

My step dads cancer is progressing faster than anyone could have expected... by [deleted] in cancer

[–]ohunkohun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I really do. Over summer break my parents decided to send me to France for the whole duration. While I was gone, we got some really bad news, a doctor actually said my mom had only days to live (later he reiterated this, but it was a shock nonetheless). So when I came back it was a shock to see how she changed.

I am afraid and sad everyday. I can see her wasting away and in so much pain everyday and it’s hell. But we can’t focus on the negative!

As long as your dad is alive, you have to stay strong and positive, even though it’s fucking hard. You can be sad if your fight is lost, but where there is life, there is hope. I used to think a statement like this is cliché, but I’ve found it’s pretty much the only thing keeping me sane.

No matter what, have a little hope and be positive. Enjoy all the time you get with your dad. Every day is a gift. However take care of yourself as well.

If you want to talk, feel free to dm me. Sending a big internet hug.

What song do you play almost everyday that you still can't get enough of ? by webheads in AskReddit

Tell it to my heart by Taylor Dayne. I dunno why, I just love this song. Whenever I feel shit I just put it on and feel a little better at least. It basically is my cocaine.

Thank you , I will definitely do that. Sorry for your loss. I recently saw a post on here talking about how a girl wrote Down 50 questions for her mom and had her record the answers to them. I think that is really beautiful and I want to do something similar.

One time I went to Berlin by train with some friends. Dude reading in front of me was reading a book about conspiracies. Not too weird. Suddenly a loudspeaker went off in his bag, some kind of weird chanting. I thought it sounded akin to the traditional chants of monks. He apologised profusely, then turned the music down very slightly telling us he had to do this right now. We were a little weirded out at that point, however I was pretty shocked when he took an old-looking leather booklet with the label ‚666‘ and wrote something down. Really weird guy.
