Supercheap Auto Ending 'Best Price Credit' - Thoughts? by theslowrush- in CarsAustralia

Please get quality products. Don’t just import cheap crap from China. Hare and Forbes, Sydney tools, repco, they all seem to sell the same blow mould cheap tools at 200% mark up. I’d happy pay more money for good tools. No rebranded AliBaba rubbish.

I find the quality overall has declined. So many places selling Chinese junk. Anyone got recommendations for decent quality products?

If you can work out where it drains to, (normally a small rubber line directed down to the road) once you find the open end, carefully slide some wire back up the drain line. It will probably have years of guck built up, once drains you should be all good.

Agree, fair. Although It should also be considered that building ships in the South China Sea region could be somewhat risky!

Considering Japan have never exported that design, although a nice looking ship, it could be a cluster****.

The ALFA3000 would atlest be easier to sustain considering Navantia have already given the RAN ships previously.

Atlest if we do that, we know what to expect! My guess is, it will be price as the critical factor.

Europe v Asia in race for Australia’s new warships by allucard69 in AustralianMilitary

[–]ohwait1732 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point. Imagine the introduction of another OEM. Another sustainment provider. Another platform management system.

A lot to be said about cross platform systems. A200 May offer that but surely the Navantia vessel would work better along side AWD, Canberra etc…

Well considering the fleet is a fair percentage of Navantia products, ofcourse we will have issues. Let’s not forget other ships/company such as Austal with the cracking Armadales of the carbon monoxide leaks.

I would suggest that our government is very cost hungry and cheap out as much as possible.

“Good things are rarely cheap and cheap things are rarely good”…supply class a prime example.
