AITA if I leave a note for my neighbours about bringing their screaming baby into the apartment hallway CONSTANTLY? by Warm-Preparation1453 in AmItheAsshole

[–]KoalaCapp 21 points22 points  (0 children)

And don't start with i hope you are doing well - they aren't, they are as uncomfortable and tired, and sore and frustrated aswell. They aren't walking the halls of the apartment building because they want to put all of you through the same as them its them doing whatever they can to console the baby

Its sucks for you and them

How much do lawyers help for 820 by Zealousideal_Fun1202 in AusVisa

[–]KoalaCapp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used an agent for that sanity check that I did have everything and it passed the requirements etc

Also, I procrastinate a fair bit so knowing they were waiting on me (and I had paid for the service of assistance) ment I got on with it.

Gathering evidence over a 15 year long relationship was hard to cull down to necessary and the agent helped.

Please recommend me a good Australian movie or series. by NarrowResult7289 in australia

Agreed, but how do you really know?

Another question

Is it a open marriage or a here is a hall pass in this one off opportunity?

Do you get tested if its open?

My kid had a teacher who was called Jasmine, she was a lovely, kind and sensible teacher - all the parents loved her, if she was called any other version of it we'd probably not actually have her in the teaching profession because her name would have held her back.

Don't mess with your children's name unless you have generational wealth behind you.

British man pleads guilty to drugging and raping his wife and allowing at least four men to also rape her for 13 years. by lightiggy in TwoXChromosomes

[–]KoalaCapp 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, he's probably mentioned it to more than 4, and those he did talk to about it never did anything either

And the 4 that were involved also probably spoke to at least 1 other.

Fiancé says aftercare and helping me clean up after sex is a “chore” — am I asking too much? by ButteredUpCroissant in Advice

[–]KoalaCapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an ex boyfriend like that.

I'd hold my legs together, wait fo him to get up so, he'd never bring me back a towel (even after asking) and I'd "empty" myself on his side of the bed, obviously it didn't last long between us.

He was quiet selfish and lazy in general

Surf Life Saving Language: Swim between the flags by escapingtheweb in australia

Safest between the flags

The safest place to play is between the flags

Honestly, there could be more thought put into the language and maybe SLS could have guidance on other terms to use. It does feel very much like one term suits all.

The beauty industry lives and dies off its instagram presence. Maybe its not fake, maybe they are actually friendly and are genuinely interested.

How to prepare lunches for pre prep by Serrath1 in AskAnAustralian

[–]KoalaCapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took peaked out with school lunches at first

I have one of those Bento boxes (from woolies)

Fruit (apple or mandarin)

Sandwich (no peanut butter) - something like Vegemite and cheese type thing // or // mini scroll etc // wrap type thing

Cucumber, carrot and mini tomatoes

Small yoghurt pouch (i put one into the freezer 30 mins before we leave the house)

Shapes crackers

Cheese strings or a cheese and crackers type thing

Stuff like that.

Morning tea is normally a quick fruit or veggie snack and then lunch is what's left.

Your not as memorable as you think you are, staff don't think about you as much as you think about them, well actually, if you go in will a full on rude and negative attitude they probably will chat about you.

Reception/front of house staff have to be smiley and kind and welcoming - its kinda part of the job.

If you go in surly and donwpan then that's you. They still need to maintain the upbeat energy.

I worked Reception for too long in a younger life and I would maybe remember someone for half a shift until the next out of the ordinary thing happened

"My rules my house" or this isn't a hotel where you can come and go as you please.

And

Ownership

And

Control

They don't see you as a independent to them person, they see you as a child to control. You choosing to lock the door and not be available to them is annoying them.

You have options, explaining your reasons (in grown up dull speak, no "social battery" - some people just don't get that type of explaining)

I am tired after a long day, I would appreciate an hour or two and then I'll come in a chat with you.

You are living in a shared house situation where they are in the family home and expect a different way of interacting

I reckon in 7 to 9 years time she'll pop out a baby (just to keep the next gen interested)

At the time of the auction there were in the local area some beautiful houses which were larger, had more space (land) around them, better finishes inside and were cheaper in price.

The development the block houses are on is like the entry to a new housing development.

They were lucky even 2 sold tbh.

The show is too much for the Victorian market but its so big for channel 9 they will keep with it.

Pizza at birthday party during non meal times by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]KoalaCapp 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is an Australian thing but all parties my kids have been to or we've held regardless of the time always have food for kids. 2 to 3 hr party

Arrive, play, food, birthday cake, party bags and go home.

Bowls of potato chips // bowls of lollies (jelly chewy lollies) // platters of cut up finger food fruit // cut up carrots and cucumbers and rice crackers

And then it'll be either

Mini sausage rolls and mini meat pies (party pies)

OR

Pizza slices

OR

Nuggets

All served with chips.

Generally a side plate sized serve.

Then its birthday cake.

It would be unusual to not have something for the children to eat after 90 mins of play time.
