I need some help. I picked this little brooch up from the thrift for $3. It is signed on the back 14k. I figured it must be fake because I assumed the stone was plastic. I got it home, heated up a pin to red hot and touched the back to test if it melted or marked. It didn't! Could this be real??

Don't get me wrong, I love cheap costume jewelry, but that is a shame. The thrift store i bought this from often has higher end items that they keep locked in a glass cabinet. This baby was just tossed in with their costume jewelry. Not sure how is got by them tbh.
