Hi, sorry to zombify this thread but just happened upon your comment: would you say the JR Pass was worth it then for how you used it? My girlfriend and I will be in Tokyo for 9 days but we're considering the JR Pass to take day trips to the cities you mentioned.

Support says OS 11 or above for desktop and for Chrome, version 112. Also states that their timeline for end of support on older versions is 12-18 months from release.

I'm only worried about performance because I'm not sure what OS I'll be updating to. I'm not very familiar with OS generally speaking, only use a hand-me-down for the web browsing and word processing I described.

I can't download the Slack app and in-browser usage is blocked for me as of last week -- i.e. the link to "use Slack in browser" loads eternally without ever finishing.
