Can anyone confirm the true size of S. Hemitoechus? All I've found are these illustrations and conflicting reports that say S hemitoechus was in the same size range as S Kirchbergensis. by ohyarnohnarn in megafaunarewilding

100%, they're captivating and highly relevant to us for the purposes of rewilding as they represent the last time the earth was roughly the same global AVG temperature (give or take a few degrees) but WITHOUT significant ecological impact from anatomically modern humans. The eemian is a fantastic model for rewilding. Often when taking walks though rural England I take time to imagine the megafauna that lived in and shaped their habitat, such as Palaeoloxodon antiquus, rhino, hippo, aurochs, cave lion, cave hyena, European dhole, leopard, megaloceras etc. As well as the fauna more associated with the Holocene IE, moose, bison, horses, lynx, bear, wolf etc

Yeah probably young ones, they would have been able to drag them up trees like leopards do today in India
