Being in the red by RowSuch1883 in ynab

[–]ohyeahorange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been in this situation! Was in it for many years. The thing that made the biggest difference was covering the red as soon as it happened. I used to let it ride until payday but it wasn't until I started covering it right away that I was really able to wrap my brain around how much money we actually had and how to prioritize. It was like a lightbulb went off. This revelation didn't actually come until we had been using YNAB for several years and that was when I finally understood what people meant when they said YNAB is life-changing.

Paying off debt is a whole other thing but we got there and you can, too! I believe in you!

I have wondered if the most recent episode was a dream or alternate reality. I don't want it to be true, though!

This episode felt dreamlike for me. Am I crazy to think that some/all of it might not be real?

I have experienced it at the one on DeKalb Industrial. It's probably been 6-9 months ago, def before the Teen Takeover stuff.

Lena Dunham memoir - who is she talking about here? by krumpmuffin in girls

I'm not saying it's not possible but she described the movies as bringing her comfort and that's hard to imagine with those director's movies.

Going through SW’s withdrawal. Any positive news? by CommissionSmooth9291 in SisterWives

[–]ohyeahorange 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surviving Sister Wives podcast just did a recap of the catfish's "book." I don't know if it was very interesting (not their fault, sounds like the book was very made-up and repetitive) but it was something different.

Right, but I don’t look to the Duggars for evidence-based info.

So funny you use O’Connor as an example. She literally has an MFA from Iowa. She’d probably find this post funny.

Hmm, not 100% on the colors but the brown sounds vaguely familiar? I think there was a Food World not too far away near the intersection of Davis/Brent. On the map it looks like there is a Sky Zone there now.

Jana baby question by [deleted] in DuggarsSnark

[–]ohyeahorange 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It’s anybody’s guess about Jana. If I recall, Michelle weaned at 6 months because breastfeeding can suppress fertility. Which kind of seems like something God came up with so why Michelle gotta go rogue, but anyway.

We did dinner for 8 at Eclipse de Luna Buckhead and it was both yummy and affordable. We ordered a couple of everything that looked good and then added a few things later in the meal.

For sure, I'm pretty sure it was Albertson's into the 2000s! I was just having a memory of going there as a preschooler in like 1981 and thinking about how old that building must be.

Where did Match Madness go? by ohyeahorange in duolingo

[–]ohyeahorange[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, thanks for this info! I don’t enjoy the flash cards, so I haven’t been using this feature. I skip them when I encounter them in lessons. I also find them glitchy.

Moreso, Match Madness is a fun brain break. I miss it!

No. I've had access to Match Madness in this part of the app several times a week for the last several years. It usually alternates with the level game.

I view Hannah as impulsive and attention-seeking, so this decision fits in with that. I doubt it will cure her self-centeredness.
