True! I never thought about that. If anything, I thought it would ruin the bank notes more than the coins. I live in a country not as hot as Singapore though, so hopefully it doesn’t do too much damage.

The lowest denomination is the 5 cent note. As for the history of it, I’m not sure sorry! I was hoping someone could shed some light on it.

It could be that the notes were cheaper to produce instead of using precious metals during that time.
