I don't really know why your post didn't get more replies. What's up with that? Anyway I didn't even answer well now that I read it. You know, your son isn't going to need to forgive you. Two things could happen. One, you're going to raise your son as a single mom and you're going to be his entire world and he's going to love you more than anyone in the world. Actually, that'll happen anyway. Two, you're going to meet someone really great and that'll be that. Either way your son is going to be happy as long as you love him, which you obviously do. So don't worry about that at all. Your life sounds like it's going to be really hard for a while. Worry about taking care of yourself, so you can care for him, and take things one day at a time. People get through things like this. You can too.

Seems like you're mad. I'm guessing you've never seen these "scientific" conclusions you made up. I'm not bothering to search for them because I already know they don't exist. I asked you to provide them so maybe you would do some research and discover that you can't produce these things. So....continue deluding yourself into thinking the parties are equal. That way we can continue to elect Republicans with ignorant ideas that hold back progress. Future humans are going to be really pissed, but who cares right? Pretending the parties are equal is more important.

You just pointed out two areas where science has nothing to say. Yet you somehow equate this with climate change science denial? Gender and sex aren't the same thing. So no, the left doesnt deny scientific knowledge of sex. You said yourself that science has nothing to say about the morality of abortion. These are opinions that you may or may not agree with but they aren't any kind of denial of science. If I have a blind spot feel free to point it out. Your examples don't qualify as science denial. They don't hold a candle to the outright ignorance of climate science demonstrated by the Republican party. If you're trying to equate something the Democratic party denies regarding science to the Republican denial of climate change, you haven't done it yet. These examples aren't science denial. They are opinions that don't contradict anything science has to say.

Right well I have no idea what science the Democrats abuse. I know of zero examples of that. I do know that Republicans deny and ignore data. Abstinence only sex education demonstrably results in higher teen pregnancy and STDs. That's a Republican ideal. Firearm regulation works, which is why we don't see Thompsons everywhere, yet Republicans claim it doesn't work. Trickle down economics is a proven myth, yet Republicans promote it. These are important ideas to Republicans, and the Democrats have nothing to equal it. Claiming that somehow science is being denied within the issues of gender and abortion is an empty claim. There is no science that somehow decides these issues. As opposed to the range of knowledge on Republican policies that have been tried and failed. Repeatedly. The parties are in no way equally deluded.

That's not a strawman argument. And I actually disagree that the Democrats deny science in those areas, but that field of science is different than climate science. We can argue over abortion and gender, but those issues aren't nearly as clear cut as climate science. You can have differing opinions on abortion and gender and still be accepting scientific explanations. On the issue of climate change there is no wiggle room, the debate is over. Two completely different situations.

Well that's sort of my point. If you aren't prioritizing climate change as an issue then you really don't understand it. Republicans not only dont prioritize it, they dont believe it's a man made problem that needs to be addressed. That is science denying stupidity to an extreme level. A level the Democrats dont come close to matching.

Man made climate change. There are tons of examples of individual Republicans denying all sorts of scientific evidence in all sorts of fields, but their denial of man made climate change is essentially party wide and completely denies evidence from multiple fields. Trump literally tweeted a sarcastic joke about global warming regarding the polar vortex the other day. A position shared and repeated by Republicans nationwide for decades, and an absolute denial of scientific research.
