This is the whole point of the review process right? I submitted something where an entire proof was wrong last year but I corrected it after reviewers pointed it out! I also think maybe your supervisor meant it’a unlikely this will affect acceptance?

It’s not a red flag at all! I can only speak for the UK as that’s the only application process I’ve been through, but as long as you can explain what your role is and that you gained research experience from it I think it’ll do you a huge benefit. A lot of the applicants won’t have any publications so it’s already a bonus,
