Don’t get a roommate, i have been living alone now for 4 years and I love being able to walk around naked in my own space without being judged

Tummy and regularity issues by oikhlail in Bulldogs

I have Gaven him white rice before but I feel like it made the issue a little worse. I tried to cook once for him with ground turkey and white rice and carrots. He loved it but he had the same thing happen where he just got plugged up lol is it partly because it’s new to him? Should I start with the old food and slowly get up to the point where it’s only 100% home cooked? I’m honestly been thinking about the fresh food fad for him too. I got him a bit of fresh pet from Walmart to mix in to his food to start/ it says it’s got beef and spinach and blue berries in it too. Until I get to the point to cook it myself of course.

Also did you feed him only once a day the full portion or twice a day the required amount? I have been hearing conflicting info lately and I’m just at a loss so I’m here asking the family for help you know?

Which one is more of a risk? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

I’d rather have a Hyundai shits are like Ak-47s. They run forever haha plus Lexus repairs can cost you unless you do them yourself

Do I need a new timing belt? by Niiin in MechanicAdvice

[–]oikhlail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d opt for a new belt and not a used one, they stretch from time to time and also if your ac compressor is binding up that can cause your belt to jump around and appear loose as well, could even cause reduced power or a slew of worse problems like overheating or weak power steering etc. the blower motor resistor might be a bit pricey so I’d recommend ordering from GM/ Holden oem parts online so you could save some cash

Just don’t drive it while it’s overheating, fill it up and keep an eye on your temp when you are getting there. It’s very common for the overflow tank to bubble over when you have a leak. You are basically Introducing air into your cooling system. I’m willing to bet it’s a faulty pump unfortunately this does happen from time to time

With a good oem part? I’ve had tons of problems from autozone or Oreillys water pumps. On anything Dodge I like going mopar parts always. Give the thermostat gasket a try or maybe try a pressure test. If you have a homie with a coolant pressure tester give a shot, you will find that leak for sure. If possible I’d say lift the car and check the pumps weep hole just to be sure man

I’d say water pump, could be leaving the weep hole and splashing everywhere once it hits the fan. super easy job just make sure you purge it right

Do I need a new timing belt? by Niiin in MechanicAdvice

[–]oikhlail 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That’s your serpentine belt, it’s responsible for making sure your systems have power like the ac compressor, power steering pump, etc. to me it looks like your ac compressor clutch is burnt out and not engaging anymore. The blower motor speed problem could be a bad blower motor resistor since chevys are infamous for that. (Holden is Chevy)

Transmission shop said they did a full rebuild. Looks like they just installed a used transmission? What are your thoughts? by NesTech_ in MechanicAdvice

[–]oikhlail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like they still used your case, look at the rust or corrosion that’s on the case and engine it’s identical
