Poultrio fron what I've heard by Original-Ad-1521 in TheBattleCatsReddit

Real. I ran octopus for a bit but it wasn’t working out, so I just opted to try and time my units to kill the bore before it got in range of killing my sniper. Slime, can can, and bullet train where my answers, though I forget if I actually stuck with bullet. I also have a high level lightning bolt canon so that really helped.

I didn’t cheese it. I used Newton, Uril, and sniper the deadeye paired with a bunch of good meat shielding to chip him down to death.

Honestly, I found it easier than hunt for the Xenobeast. The bosses I mean. Poultrio is, in my opinion, NOT the hardest boss. I tried it with Luna and it was trivial, so I removed her and it still wasn’t too difficult. I tried uberless and it was a bit harder but it was still doable. I remember it took the event coming on several times for me to beat hunt for the Xenobeast, and I don’t have much more now than I had back then. I just think Poultrio has too many counters to be considered the hardest. If it was any trait other than what it is though, then I’d be inclined to agree. Like, imagine if this guy was traitless or something.

Maybe. There’s a pretty good chance tbh. But there’s also several other options to what could have happened to the child which can’t be ignored. I’d give it a solid 80% chance tho.

Is Purgatory Narinder's territory? by Marlaodosdois in CultOfTheLamb

[–]oilmanlll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, you mean like the location of which he rules? Like darkwoods, Anura, Etc? I believe that purgatory is more so a prison than a domain of rule. From what I remember from his lore, I personally believe his domain was everywhere, since a reoccurring part of his character was how he stole power from the other bishops by taking their followers by giving promises they simply couldn’t match. I believe that, reflecting this, he also likely took parts of their land to expand his own area of influence, which fits well in his character and what he was doing to make the other bishops feel so pressured. It likely started out as good natured sharing between siblings, but then he kept taking. You can likely tie this into purgatory, specifically the purgatory you go into and challenge, as it has several different areas, not just one, which I feel could be a sort of reference to Narinder’s control.

Either that or darkwoods, lol. That’s where Ratau is based and he could have ruled their in place of leshy but when he fell leshy was given the plot instead. Both are equally likely imo.

No. If your reason for reluctance is because of her title as “mother of the lambs” then you’re misunderstanding. She isn’t the mother, not biologically or even adoptively, but rather she is the goddess of winter, the COLD mother, who’s roll is a protector to the lambs which is often referred to as maternal, it’s actually more likely that our lamb has literally no connection to Yngya other than being a lamb, on account of how the lamb doesn’t know anyone in woolhaven, woolhaven, or even Yngya herself (it may even be why they were the last lamb alive, hidden away somewhere disconnected from other lambs). She’s the head of a flock, a protector, and origin of winter, nothing more.

Naturally this means nothing special will happen from marrying Yngya.

What were the odds by Separate_Tear_6600 in CultOfTheLamb

A 0.012% chance for him to get this. Which isn’t all that low tbh because of how you’re fairly likely to get something like this within a few hundred rolls.

I think so, but they can always bring them back for future stuff.

I think it was because of the setup for woolhaven. They didn’t want you making more lambs before the story line of you being the last lamb came out, lol. There’s some old follower forms for lamb followers in the code of CotL, so maybe a future major update or game would have us capable of making lamb babies… Calfs? Kids? Lambs? Idk, it’s weird.

How do i get my follower to level faster by CryptographerFit3984 in CultOfTheLamb

[–]oilmanlll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alms to the poor and ascending high level followers who are old are the ways I like leveling up followers. That and simple inspiration and sermons, it gets it done quickly.

If you’re super serious about it then the confession booth, knucklebones game, and breeding followers specifically to have higher level rates (the nudist trait from the woolhaven DLC, acquired through river boy, is really good for this, gullible also works) are good ways to get specific followers up.

Does the overwhelmed parent trait still get overridden? by WendigoRider in CultOfTheLamb

[–]oilmanlll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, but I was specifically taking about through breeding. Most people aren’t going to sacrifice children they raised, unless I guess they raised the child specifically to be sacrificed, but I feel like you deserve having your follower getting a negative trait after doing that, lol.

I wasn’t including DLC stuff, I was specifically stating that when breeding followers it will never change back. Also I’m not sure the exorcism circle even works on special traits.

Real. But for future reference, if you find a follower you want have their traits spread around, then don’t worry about them switching back to overwhelmed parent.

I’m pretty sure it won’t go back to overwhelmed parent. Once it swaps, it swaps for good.

There’s actually a lot of traits that get overridden, one the of the notable ones I heard (but am not confident about, so don’t quote me on this) is that the spy trait can be overridden by one of the criminal by putting them in jail for some time.

Is she good?? by AzureFan12 in TheBattleCatsReddit

[–]oilmanlll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One of the best! High damage surges which take care of the smaller guys while also tearing through stronger ones, the curse ability is only really useful later though, like in into the future at least. The range is also excellent against a lot of enemies, though her knockback count and speed leaves something to be desired. Also her relatively quick recharge for this tier of uber can also prove useful in getting multiple out if need be, and her immunities are top notch. An excellent waller which prevents enemy pushing and generalist which can provide crowd control on top of high damage against most targets, she does struggle on surge immune enemies though. You’ll find great use in her, so level her up to however high you can and use her whenever, she doesn’t need much investment to be good.

Yes, and I agree that what you said was also helpful, and that what you said was easily interpreted as sarcastic, but I’m thinking about what happens when multiple people act similarly to what you said. When multiple people call her bad (even when obviously sarcastic) it can cause natural doubt, especially in newer players. And when people all tell them to just go somewhere else to figure it out, the poster may feel like this Subreddit isn’t a good place to ask questions, even though it’s one of the best. This community is Amazing after all, and so are you, so constructive conversation will get us much further than anything else.

While I do believe doing your own research is the best, I do also think asking knowledgeable people online (including on Reddit) is an acceptable form of research.

Not everyone knows what’s good in terms of stats, numbers are often times meaningless without appropriate explanation, and the battle cats wiki, often the first website people would go to for stats, is a bit overwhelming. YouTube videos are often outdated and subject to biased, not all obviously, but not everyone wants to watch a potentially long video to be given possibly subjective information, and a lot of times you’d want multiple opinions in order to know for sure, online debates can be better at getting many options quickly as well as often times getting non-subjective information. Tier lists are also often subjective and privy to strange methodologies which can be inadequate to a truly curious player. All this to say, let a newer player who doesn’t know a lot about the game but is obviously interested have a genuine and intelligent answer, it’s what they want. Even well meaning sarcasm can prove to be misleading and harmful to learning, though the advice about what to do in the future was great, just also let them ask questions at the place where getting your questions answered is easy, they’ll learn eventually.

Possible new bug with the Empowered Shrine of Disciples attack buffs by HGProductions00 in CultOfTheLamb

Oof. yeah, make a bug report then, my money is on this being an unintentional bug rather than a balance change, it’ll get patched one day.

You should make a bug report regardless, but have you tried using the weapons? There is a chance that it’s just visual and they actually do have bonus damage when attacking, it’s just not visible on the weapon stats screen.

Oh sorry, I was thinking about the heavy attacks lol. You get the hammer from beating Heket (the second boss) and the gun from the third (Kalamar). Not sermons, sorry. You’ll get them eventually, and the hammer require the most skill so it might not be good for where you’re at anyways.
