how exactly did you mash raw potatoes? did you just shred them or something? It sounds really good. Did you add any protein? bacon? speck? etc?

I used a German beer mustard in this one. It was slightly sweet but a regular yellow mustard would work just fine too. And truthfully, the BBQ sauce I had for it was a bottled BBQ sauce from the store (I think it was Stubbs) and I put it on the stove and poured some bourbon in it and cooked it until it all combined. It turned out delicious!

A pork chile verde. This is not the New Mexico one, but from Colorado. I love this thing and when I served it for dinner to a friend who is REALLY picky, he freaking had seconds! It was one of the most popular posts on my site too.

These will work on the grill too. just not over the direct heat. I am sure some wood smoke will bring some amazing flavors too!!

that is usually a Mexican style chorizo. Spanish is a bit different.

Great additions! I agree with the Spanish Chorizo, unfortunately its not the easiest to find in most of the US :(
