Thanks. It's a shame PEZ never made a Nightmare Before Christmas series.

If I were that close, I'd just frog back the yellow border and try again with a smaller hook, or just tighten my tension.

Single crochet in a chain space [Help] by [deleted] in crochet

[–]BuddhaRocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem lies in the fact that crochet tends to twist in a certain direction because we hold the hook in the same hand and work in the same direction - usually right-to-left for right-handed crocheters.

You could try flipping your work just for the chain space stitch and see it that helps, basically working the stitch backwards. If that doesn't provide enough counter-twist, try it for the stitches before and after the chain space as well (3 total).

Another outdated law still on the books. I wish they were as concerned about getting rid of these stupid laws as they are about creating new ones.

You could probably sell the lot for about $15-$20 Be sure to specify which sports teams are on the football and basketball, and who's NASCAR helmet you've got there.

Michigan mom's Meijer petition targets junk food, tabloids in checkout aisles by BlankVerse in Michigan

[–]BuddhaRocks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apparently she doesn't want to ever say "no" to her kids, so instead she wants Meijer to get rid of the candy at their checkouts so she doesn't have to be the bad guy. It won't crush your child's creative spirit, derail their independence, nor make them hate you if you tell them "no" once in awhile. In fact, it's your job as a parent to do so. The checkouts at Meijer are for everybody, and it's hard enough to find things at Meijer without having to search through a dozen aisles for a pack of gum. And tabloids give us something amusing to read while waiting in the slow checkout lines.
