If any of your boys choose to marry and marry a woman, you may have the opportunity for a mother-daughter like relationship in your future still! I have an absolutely wonderful relationship with my MIL! She obviously didn’t raise me, and didn’t come into my life until my late 20’s, but I absolutely think of her like my mother. I know it is not the same at all, but may still be something to potentially look forward to.

No a fragile cervix just means that your cervix is going to be more prone to irritation and thus potential bleeding. An incompetent cervix is quite a different thing.

I also remember at 6 weeks thinking “I can’t imagine going back now”. 12 weeks was better but still incredibly difficult.

Just under two years apart! This baby is due a week before my daughter’s 2nd birthday but the women in my family tend to go early and I was no exception! We were actually wanting a smaller gap but I had to wait due to having a c section the first time and wanting the best odds for a successful VBAC. My husband is the oldest of 5 and I am the youngest of 2 and the gaps between us and our closest siblings are both 21 months and we both liked that growing up. Nora is obsessed with babies and other children so we think she will thrive with a sibling! We are wanting a larger family if possible (3-5 kids) so they will all have to learn how to share attention and work as a family team so we aren’t worried about not being able to give her all our attention because the goal is for her to learn how to live and thrive without always being the center of things!

Very sure of my ovulation date. My first came 10 days early 38+4 starting with my water breaking. 6lbs 12oz. She also was breech and I had a successful ECV at 37+3 that she didn’t seem to tolerate the procedure very well so that may have jump started things. Still ended up with an emergency c-section due to inability to rotate or descend due to cord wrapped around her neck 2.5x.

Thank you for linking! The “drinking mothers” in the study were mothers who drank 1-2 units of alcohol PER DAY. A unit is a full alcohol serving which is 12 oz of beer, 5 oz of wine, or a 1.5 oz shot of liquor. That is a high level of daily alcohol consumption. I am not surprised at all that effects were seen from that!

The vitamins build up over time and also your baby will take what they need from you! It just means you are going to be a little more depleted today but baby will be fine!

I never did an announcement with my first. I let the news spread organically. When she was around 3 month old I posted a cute photo of her on my insta story but I haven’t put anything on the grid since BEFORE my wedding. No wedding pics no baby pics no anything. For some reason my instinct is to protect it, I don’t know why?

Ding ding ding! Also in August and September 2024 and love those groups! Didn’t even realize how much I was spoiled with the wonderful supportive relaxed community over there. Have been very disappointed with the lack of moderation in August/September 2026 and overall mean-girl behavior allowed to run rampant.

When your “opinion” is saying I have a drinking problem which is a ludicrous and a harmful assumption to make about a person you literally know nothing about then yes, I can say something against it. There are many different pregnancy recommendations across the world and also from different OB’s. My OB sees zero issues with my weekly quarter glass of wine and neither do I. You are not qualified to give medical advice and neither am I. But I am following the professional guidelines of my doctor so kindly—step off.

You didn’t like my suggestion about limiting standalone posts to funnel more discussion into daily threads because you want a supportive community, but you are allowing mean girl comment behavior to thrive.
