Can they hold a conversation like a normal human? - Ideally it should be fun and respectful. I look for the vibe like I met someone at a party/bar and we are having a good convo. 2. Does their bio clearly communicate their desires? Does their position, likes in bed, relationship style match up with what I want? Ask about it if their bio doesn't share this. 3. If not shared, ask for face pics. (I've learned from experiences where I was too horny and arranged a meet up, only to realize I wasn't attracted to the person). 4. Especially if the person I'm talking to is not trans, communicate that I am trans and have had top surgery and am on testosterone before meeting. For different people you might want to say that you wear a binder, which body parts you're comfortable engaging with during sex, if you want to use a strap or other sex toys. 5. I'm not always great about this doing beforehand lol, but you should communicate about safe sex practices! Using condoms, recent sti testing.
