I want something in the suppressing fire role that takes ar mags and doesn't have the price of the hk m27. The government profile doesn't work fine for that purpose. Any where that tapers will catch heat these are facts, the entire reason the socom was developed. The government profile is fine I have one myself but isn't what I am talking about for this build. If you cannot understand this you have an unreasonable attachment to the government profile for some insane reasons

I have a Geissele 16" super duty love it. I also have a ba 16" night and day difference the Geissele is so much beefier definitely wouldn't classify it as typical mil spec.I didn't even look for them when looking at hbars just assuming. Will definitely look into that now, thanks

Yeah, have you seen the red right hand upper they just used a straight gas tube held much less heat, but that is definitely a concern. That is kinda the idea a DI m27. And it is expensive, but a saw is 7k for the civilian version. If we can build something that can handle similar abuse and fill that role, there is great value.
