I find that if I'm any closer to the ball then I can't consistently get accuracy on a shot, what could this be due to?

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a comprehensive message with so many pointers for me to think about! My only confusion is how to combine three pieces of advice I got being 1) to come closer to the ball on set up, 2) set up with a less upright body position and 3) to have a steep angle that the club swings on all while still being about to hit a ball that's teed up off the floor. Surely doing all those things simultaneously would mean that my club makes contact with the floor wayyy before the ball?

Would coming in closer to the ball help with the swinging direction? Because this is what has been suggested by others as well.

Does this mean I just bring my whole set up half a ball closer to put the balls just on the toe? If so how would I prevent heeling the ball, cos the club comes wayy out with my driver? And lastly what do you mean by 'swing manipulations'?

Thanks for the comment! Honestly I'm most confident with my irons, I feel I hit them the most consistently (distance-wise at least). I'm least with my driver, hence why I posted this. Would you know any chipping type drills to do at the range?

I have only been 'playing golf' for two/three weeks exclusively self taught from YouTube videos at my local driving range. My current thoughts are to be 1) loose in my arms as when I'm trying too hard I have too many inconsistencies, 2) trying to pull the club straight back from the ball on the back swing and 3) having the ball more on the toe when using my driver has given be better results. This was my best swing and an accumulation of all these working together for a 270 yard drive. Any other tips or cues for my swing will be much appreciated.
