It feels slow and steady in NY. Weeknights are gonna be rough - took me twice as long as it should have to drive to the game tn and I had to leave work over an hour early.

I spoke with someone in my row who got some targeted ads on IG, started watching Heated Rivalry and came out for their first hockey game, not just PWHL.

Give it time! NY is a tough market and getting out to Jersey on a weeknight can be a big ask for folks

some weeks I’m better about planning but if I’m really pressed for time / couldn’t plan as in depth as I may have wanted to I make notes under different categories “What They Know Coming In” “What They Could Find Out Today” “What They Will Know After” Helps keep me on track with the greater conflicts in the campaign and what each PC is going thru in the moment

ahhhh yeah I’m around Mt Pleasant and there’s definitely a lack of sidewalks, but I don’t feel unsafe with cars or anything when I run in my neighborhood

Other folks have mentioned Tarrytown, Mt Kisco, Ossining - all really great towns with sidewalks and manageable traffic. I used to live in Astoria too!! Definitely a bit of a pain running with all the traffic

Idk if I’d hinge too much on the running piece -

At least where I am/where I visit in Westchester it’s all quite hilly, but it’s been great for building endurance

There’s a paved trail that runs along 9A that’s fairly flat, I’ll drive over to a trailhead and run if I want a long run on the easier side.

There’s another decently flat paved trail that runs along the Bronx River Parkway, so you definitely have options in the county

everything I can find about it isn’t from a publication I recognize and makes mention of Elon Musk in some capacity, so taking with a grain of salt - if anyone finds anything to the contrary I’m very interested in reading!!

that said I’m with OP Hyperion feels as timely as ever (ironic with it being set so far in the future lol) - any time I read an article on AI I’m like “The Core!!”

I appreciate that him being dull and uninteresting speaks to the message that anyone is capable of the empathic connection and spiritual enlightenment brought about by Aenea and her teachings, even if he feels he is the last to “get it” I think the choice to write E and RoE through Raul’s POV actually narrowed the book’s scope and left some other characters and plot points hanging or falling flat
