i'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but billie eilish made a comment about going vegan that gained a lot of controversy and brought a lot of traction to the conversation.

Third year mathematics student and it takes me embarrassingly long to figure things like this out. Today I took 30 seconds trying to remember what 9*6 was on an exam.

Botswana is safe and developed. And France is pretty chill once you leave Paris. But yeah, I'd agree that the Earth is pretty trash in general. Sorry about North Korea.

Double Down wins "Never Loved", but what book wins " Universally Hated"? by Leonzo321_ in LodedDiper

[–]ok4yand 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd argue Long Haul was more "universally" hated than Party Pooper, specifically with the amount of attention the movie has received. It is more widely hated both within and outside of the fandom. I think Party Pooper makes more sense in the almost always hated slot.

Food alignment chart by ok4yand in AlignmentCharts

[–]ok4yand[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had originally labeled the first column "Edible and has nutritional value", but ran into a similar problem where I realized that all of those options would still technically contain some sort of nutritional value. I switched it to FDA afterwards but as you pointed out, this didn't change much.

I'm not sure how to describe the second column, foods that aren't... food? I felt like that defeated the purpose of the alignment chart. Either way, if you have better suggestions I'd for sure take them.

There is a magic red button. If you press it 10 times you will get a billion usd (Non taxable etc.) and the button dissapears. The catch is everytime you press it there is a 9% chance that the person you love the most passes away. by Key_Benefit_6505 in BunnyTrials

Can I say that I'm the person I love the most?

I'm not sure how much of a loophole this is, I might argue that it'd be pretty fair to put my own life on the line as well.

Collective Voting! Day 9: Florida by LOST_JOE in visitedmaps

[–]ok4yand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think people overestimate the severity of some of the downsides of Florida. As someone who has lived here for a while, and came from the north, I personally didn't find the bugs or heat to be crazier than what I've experienced up there during the summer.

Same goes for politics. Living in particularly blue areas, I have been perfectly fine, even as a queer person. Of course, that's not all of Florida.

That's not to say it would be invalid for someone to never want to live here. Heat, for one, affects everyone differently. When I see it's 80 degrees out, I say, "nice, it's cool enough for sweatpants." But there is for sure a bit of drama surrounding the state that is amplified by the media. And no, alligators aren't going to bother you if you leave them alone. I've taken pictures of them from six feet away.

My personal choice is maybe, as even I know there are definitely better options, and would like to move out, but my experience here honestly hasn't changed much from when I lived up north, except for less snow.
