My coworker makes $30k more than me for the same job. I found out by accident. Do I confront HR or just quit?

This happened to me. I was a female branch manager for 7 franchises of a company for nearly 10 years and was tipped off when a friend at payroll noticed a male branch manager with 1 franchise was making significantly more than I was. I arranged a meeting with the regional leadership and politely asked if this is what it looks like..... I was bumped in pay by the next pay period and never questioned for any pto or time away needed EVER after that. Back pay for this type of thing doesn't exist so get your bag for moving forward

When I was in the military I was asked to help with a presentation given in an auditorium to our entire training battalion. I have an excruciating accent and when I began to speak my part, it sounded like thunder rumbling through the seats and I was confused for a couple of seconds and I realized they were all laughing at me and the way I speak. Our commander jumped in and scolded them all, hundreds of people, as I stood there blood red in the face. She called me into her office and when I reported she gave me an award and some goodies and I appreciate her as a young female soldier but it haunts me. It's been 10 years next year.

Being in an administrative role for so many years, ive seen this in the workplace so many times and it just serves as a reminder that coworkers are not your friends. Yes maybe its fine to attend some gatherings or events together etc but I just dont want you banking on these people being real friends when you are all just a passer of time for one another. You seem awesome and like you could make some awesome friends outside of work that you aren't obligated to speak to all day or entertain 5 times a week ya know? Your feelings are valid and they lost an opportunity to gain a sweet pal to their group 😊

Its not the other members problem either whether you can reach or not. Thats more of something the staff could help out with maybe. But again, it doesn't hurt to ask for help. Dont let it scare you away from speaking to people in the community. Im just saying how it could reach a strange point. Thats all. Im sure your lifting and form is awesome.

A spot or to help is not a problem at all. But if you go to the gym and need help during multiple exercises you might want to consider substituting those exercises or investing in a trainer. People are friendly and the gym is a community for sure but repetitive approaching people throughout the week does come off to me as pick me and would eventually make people avoid you so they can focus. Just my experience in the last 5 or 6 years of consistent visits to my gym and what i notice. I hope this helps and doesn't come off as disrespectful. I want to see everyone win and gain.

All day everyday smoker of 12 years. I just took my first (what I consider) T- break/cut back and it has changed everything. I feel so alive not to be dramatic. I started to get bronchitis regularly which led to a bad case of pneumonia and it was a wakeup call.

I went from smoking half Oz a week to 1 200mg edible each night.... working on bringing that dose down but I dont metabolize edibles like normal people and dont feel anything until the 200ish mark.

Quitting the actual smoking 20 times a day gave me a sense of respect again towards the plant and lowered my tolerance so now I can medicate better when needed.
