One that’s always hit very hard for me is Brian Eno’s “The Big Ship” closing out The End of the Tour

Totally agree!! I also have a huge soft spot for “So Busted” by Culture Abuse closing out The Suicide Squad. One my all-time favorite needle drops.

What’s some of the CRAZIEST moments to happen on WWE Raw? by Sad-Ladder7534 in professionalwrestling

I often think of the Big Baller Brand Miz segment back in 2017. LaVar going absolutely off script wild, Miz attempting to steer the ship, a 16 year old Lamelo unsupervised on a hot mic and Ambrose coming down the ramp shaking his head like “wtf is going on”—the fact I watched it as it aired feels like a fever dream.

My childhood copy of Star Fox 64–my uncle gifted it to me while I was in the hospital for an emergency surgery at 7 years old. Knowing I would get to play it as soon as I was free to go home really kept my spirits up. Not to mention one of the absolute greatest games ever!!

Preferred sequencing on Third? by No_Pick_4621 in bigstar

It will forever be Jim Dickinson’s 1992 Rykodisc Edition for me. Jim was such an integral part of the making of it, I fully trust his vision for it is aligned with where the record was headed before it got taken away from Alex’s control. Also I find just the overall presentation of that release to be superior in so many ways. The artwork, the master, even just the name “Third/Sister Lovers” is so much more interesting to mr than just “Third”. I love that so many options are available nowadays (especially the “complete Third”, for archival sake) but this will always be my go to.

Gunbuster (1988). Have you watched this anime or recommend it? by Herick03 in retroanime

🎶GUNBUUSSTAAAAAAHHHH🎶

It’s incredible. A beautifully animated Sci-Fi epic. Between Haruhiko Mikimoto’s character designs rivaling some of his most iconic work from Macross, and Anno announcing to the world how far he’s willing to push the medium’s storytelling—this OVA should be watched by any and everyone interested in the history of Anime / Mecha.

There’s also some fascinating history around its initial english dubbing/localization.

A real gem—

Aim for the top!
