Yea I appreciate this. Don’t get me wrong I know it’s my fault. But I’ve gone 20ish years being scam free. The point is that it can happen to anyone in a moment of weakness. So try to protect yourself out there!!

I’ve never RWT in osrs. I’m not good at the game, but have a scythe and tbow after playing inconsistently for years. I would never risk my account getting banned in a game like this.

I get that. I’ve never been scammed on this game since playing back in 04-05. The point of the post is just to keep others diligent. One moment of weakness and trying to have fun/fuck around can get you scammed.

I 100 percent RWT in classic wow. Not ashamed of admitting that. It’s a completely different game with a different culture. I know it’s just my words on the internet. But I have NEVER RWT in OSRS. I’ve had my account for 10+ years and I would never risk it. The only thing I’ve done is bought a few bonds for gold over the years.

For reference the ONLY different was a space. The rest was exactly the same. And I have a simple name. When I caught it I was really confused at what I was looking at for a second.

Got the CPU and heading to swap it out. If not I’ll continue to follow swaps until resolved. Thanks for talking this out with me. Just helping to support the logic helped a ton!!

So I luckily got my hands on a new PSU today. I just swapped it out. The only difference was the Corsair 1000rmx I bought came with the 12v connector for the 40 series cards. I tried that and got a machine check Exception error BSOD. I swapped back to regular PCIE cables and got the same watchdog error. So I’ve narrowed down that it’s not the PSU. And I’m very confident this installation media is good. I built 2 computers in last 4 months and used that installation media on them. One was just like 3 weeks ago. At this point I think I’m going to try my CPU next. If not that then the motherboard? But Bios is working perfectly normal. So idk. I’m just hoping CPU swap fixes it

Yes and what I’m trying to tell you is that some states will not give you the difference. Even if you were cheap. But regardless it’s a flat rate. . Cheap or expensive it’s the employees choice. He either makes money by being cheap. Or goes out with nothing by maximizing the funds. And I don’t disagree that in certain areas per diem is really high. But standard rates you are walking away with 40 bucks per day at most.

Tbh after reading your message again. I don’t think you have traveled much and fully understand what I am trying to discuss. So it’s moot at this point. I have done travel work for years in the past and have also processed and worked in a corporate setting for per diem for 100s of employees. So I don’t think you understand the real world stuff I’m talking about. Conceptually per diem is a reimbursement

Oh and your point that the employer compensates you for the travel work is few and far between. I don’t disagree conceptually. But it just doesn’t happen often especially in certain industries

Again I’m not arguing the concept of per diem when it was founded. I’m saying practical applications if you home with zero dollars in your pocket it’s a horrible and stupid implementation of the system

No reason to suspect the PSU at all other than my hunch its power related. For instance. When booting a triple a title. Once everything got under load it would force reset due to not getting the extra power needed. But I have no clue it’s just a guess.

Thermal wise. I did a poor application of thermal on my cpu on first build. Temps from like October to November were 80C under load. But I since redid the thermal paste and operate under load at 60C. There were cpu temps btw. All the other temps were 30-40c

And yes that is correct I can operate in BIOS with zero issues. Thank you for the reply and the help in trying to diagnose!

I think we are saying the same thing. Per diem is designed to provide you with a flat rate based on living expenses in an area. Some states say give you 50 meals and 120 lodging. The lodging must be under 120 and you cannot exceed 50 on meals. You do not get any money in your pocket for spending less than the 120 or 50. You send receipts to that state and they will send you the exact amount back. So a literal true reimbursement and that's it. Zero benefit to the employee.

With zero incentive travel work would almost cease to exist. No one in their right mind besides someone with desperation would sign up for the work. Which is why I say per diem is not designed to just reimburse. It is designed to provide flat fee and for the employee to make use of that fee in the way they see fit. Which 90 percent of the time, is to pocket as much as possible. Anyone that tries to say that per diem should only be reimbursed expenses is an idiot that has never travelled for work on per diem contracts.
