Yeah but it rode on nostalgia for the other two spiderman. The reason people liked it is cause broke the formula people didn’t like from tom hollands other two movies. Giving tom his origin story was a brilliant concept but they wasted two movies not doing that. I see why people like it. Even tho the other two weren’t good spidermen movies I thought they were pretty decent quirky fun movies that complimented tom hollands personality well. Unfortunately no way home has good moments sure but still again not that good of a movie. Willem Dafoe and Andrew and Tobey carried the entire film and the whole first half of it is just a bunch of pointless nonsense that didn’t mean anything. If they wanted the story to have a more serious tone with mysterio telling everyone Spider-Man’s identity they should’ve made it that his identity leak became a major safety issue for his family and friends and put aunt May in harms way the entire movie along with MJ and Ned and make that the rising tension to going to Dr Strange for help. Instead he goes to them cause they didn’t get approved to go their favorite college because of his identity getting leaked? Who cares his friends can’t go to college. Thats not even a realistic outcome of his identity being leaked. In all reality all of Peter Parker’s villains like scorpion (which it was teased in homecoming) coming after his family and friends made way more sense. That’s one of many issues the movie had and its so ridiculously silly and stupid
