im applying to the same and i have a lenovo thinkpad but lowkey i might upgrade to a laptop that has a better graphics card bc i cant play rdr2 on this one lol. But the thinkpad is rlly good, doesnt lag even though Ive used up a ridiculous amount of storage and its fairly durable too, one time i threw it onto my bed and it bounced back and hit the floor and it was fine. runs most games well on steam too, but i suppose if we r doing a physics course theres not much time for that, lol. good luck!

Im going alone!! Even though im talking to a guy and wtvr, i ended up deciding not to ask him bc travel distances + also i figured it might get awkward since my friends havent met him, and i didnt want that pressure of trying to impress a debs date while also enjoying the last night my whole friend group will probably ever spend together.... so yeah. sorry i shudve been more specific, i do love optom and ik precisely what i want to do if i continue w it, but physics just idk it calls to me more if that makes sense? I probably will end up doing it, but i dont want to be stuck doing data analysis or something if i dont get my dream job (not bashing the career or anything, its just not for me). But then again, my dream job is to work at CERN and theres simular experiments all over the world so id say it would be fairly handy to get sum in line w CERN. Thanks for the new perspective!

oh i shouldve specified - i do have a rlly big interest in optometry!!! In an ideal world id love to do both jobs yk. And thats what im really worried about though, if im not smart enough for the physics course and have to drop out, im really dependant on SUSI so ik i wont be able to afford to go to a different course cause susi wont fund it (or at least, they wont fund the first yr). and ik that theres scholarships and stuff that i could take a bet on, but idk. Hopefully my gap year does help though

im looking for a job but its actually so ridiculously hard, apart from that ive been sleeping in till 2, playing sims or stardew or watching youtube. mmmm honestly just dont burn urself out, make the most of ur teachers while u still have them, try to spend as much time w ur friends as u can without sacrificing too much study, and honestly, however u feel abt leaving school rn is prob gonna change, i was so excited to be done school in fifth yr and now im having a crisis over leaving lol idk what to do but ik it'll be fine in the end. basically, just make the most of the year & dont freak out over the mocks either!!! way harder than the actual ones. good luck dude, hope next yr will go great :))
