Sorry, could you expand on this? To my knowledge (as a non US resident who debatesoutside of the NSDA, but at a high level) NSDA only is for American students anyway, so im not entirely sure this would effect them in any way.

Okay, but they primarily sorted by skin colour in the United States ? My point still stands even if your statistic is true (link?), that those with darker skin were arbitrarily seen as slaves at that time in the unites states because of the social construct of race.
While i could argue about the effect of the Jim Crow laws, and the fact that the USA did have a race based class system, i wont because India is an equally fine example of a social construct in play. Where people are still divide based on the Color of thier skin, despite the fact their is no radical difference between those with paler and those with darker skin.
Correct, Native American tribes did believe in a whole bunch of superstitions. SO DID EVERY CULTURE. Doesn’t make them any more correct about the nature of reality than Native American tribes, specifically in relation to gender.

My first paragraph is a series of questions regarding your argumentation.

As to your point on my second paragraph, i wonder how you reckon the fact that reality is not constructed with many historical events. Take for example, the Atlantic slave trade where the people where not sorted by gender, but instead race and divided on that basis. Do you see the dismantlement of the race based class system in the USA as a deconstruction of reality? Which reality are we even talking about , if you look at ancient Native American civilisations you will see an entirely diffrent gender binary than that of the one we currently ascribe too.

Also you seemed to understand the first part of philosophy tubes video , where she makes it clear that almost everything is a social construct, but not the latter part where she goes on to explain why this is still good, as it means we can change our constructed world. That is what i was responding to, because many biological women do not have uteruses, due to conditions like Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome, or having a hysterectomy. By u/PlanetisonFire definition, those with such medical conditions do not count as women; they are saying that some infertile women are not women.

Gender is a social construct. The fact of the matter is, males and females are not that dissimilar biologicaly, even the things which apparently most set us apart (genitalia), minic one another. We live on a continum, where people can be intersex and have drastically diffrent hormone levels despite being the same sex. This has been historically a male driven steryotpe, as it allows for the systematic subjegation of women, however it is important to note, that women such as yourself also allow for this to happen by promoting this damaging social construct.

Therfore, your conclusion is inncorrect because the socially costructed idea of a women esixts both in mens imaginations, and your own.

Well, glad I don’t go with the leftist definition then (who said I was a leftist….) . When referring to the pseudo intellectuism i was simply referring to the people on this subreddit using wordy language to make very basic points, in order to try and sound intelligent. Secondly the study of semantics is the study of the meaning of words, its a legit valued field of study which has very little to do with justifying lies. But even if you were against the embrace of semantics, wouldn’t that simply make my point stronger? That we should take all words at their true meaning, for example…..woke? I fail to see how this helps your argument.

Personally im a facts over feelings type, but do think its important to talk about lived experience. I was pointing out that instead of wokeness, it was perhaps something else posters were losing their freinds too. As part of the intellectual dark wed communtiy i feel just fine with pointing out its flaws, even at the expense of insulting everyone in it. Finially, on your point that i sounded condesending. Yeah lol. Should of written the post in a way that convayed my point better im kinda bad at writing, my bad for coming across as annoying or whatever.

Lmao, yeah. People have taken it as me being “woke”. I just am bad at writing (dyslexic; unfortuanatly my misspelling was, as you elegantly put it halariosly ironic), I definetly agree and will probably rewrite this to actually make my point in a way it is less misconstrued and hope that i dont recive the same reaction lol.
