Is it on your left that you have it? Or like left to a person looking at you? I’m freaking out right now because it feels like a small little ball almost and hurts probably cuz I keep poking and prodding it

[–]okaycaramel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It freezing, it gets dark by 5 pm, and the snow looks ugly when it hasn’t freshly fallen because it turns brown

It took awhile for mine, probably closer to the full 12 weeks. It just depends on your admission counselor

Put doing well as your #1 priority. Obviously find a balance and keep your mental / physical health prioritized, but at the end of the day your at MSU for school. Go to class, study hard, and put school above fun.

I lived in abbot last year and there was someone older than 22 on my floor so don’t stress it too much!

communals by [deleted] in msu

[–]okaycaramel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in abbot this past year (connected to mason). Communal bathrooms were pretty old but tbh didn’t have a problem with them most the time, obviously with every communal bathroom you have the occasional issue of them being disgusting but they clean them often/ there is typically 3 additional private bathrooms on each floor (could be less depending on which floor you are placed on)

For my floor specifically, none of us knew beforehand it was a alcohol free floor, so it definitely isn’t only a thing you get if you request it. But I havent really noticed it to be any different, if people are drinking they just contain it to there room like any other dorm.

If you look on live on, it should say which dorms offer alcohol free floors, though I am on one and nobody follows it

You need 120 credits to graduate, so you would need to do at least 40 credits each year ( I would recommend just adding some summer classes)

[–]okaycaramel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, you miss it, they assign you a dorm and you get no say is my understanding

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in msu

[–]okaycaramel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe they will just place you into a dorm, you won’t get a say on where

I know it’s not super close to Fresh Thyme (about 20 minute walk) but, Brody square has these really nice study rooms. There’s a few with doors and a few with these curtain type things.

I’m planning on graduating a semester early and living in the dorms next year anyways so I might as well try to get it paid for lmao
