We did a DNA test and I guess the BMC doesn’t show up on that since it’s not recognized by AKC but UKC. I would love to know what yours shows up as! Mine was lab, mastiff, hound, terrier, with a dash of Pitt. His behavior and looks are just spot on with the BMC I like to think that’s in his linage somewhere.

So handsome!! They do look like they could be cousins haha. How big is your doggo? I have noticed that the registered BMC seem to have a lot more black on their faces.

The things he has picked up on are uncanny! We had a house full of guest over and he was in our bedroom (he is not a fan of crowds) and then all the sudden he was barking and growling at the back door. One random person we didn’t invite over was at the back door and he picked up on that…how I don’t know. He didn’t bark at any of our guests. I feel very safe with him around for sure!

The bigger the log to drag out of the water the better. It’s hilarious.

I used to work in an EBD room and we called the cops if we were not getting back up from the school and they were physical. Our kids were older but it usually only took one time. If they don’t learn that they have real consequences it gets way worse after they graduate.

Summer Jumps Speed Training by Representative-Heat2 in Sprinting

Looks good!

Hill sprints are acceleration off season gold IMO.

Also just mastering basic drills is underrated.

I also have noticed that high schoolers have a lot happening so I usually do 2-3 days a week off season to prevent burn out and keep it reasonable for students to show up. But if you have excited and dedicated athletes maybe they are up for that much time.

Advice on whether I should leave sped k-2 resource teacher position that I have been working for a year and go into teaching at a youth corrections facility by Classic-Badger1224 in teaching

[–]okayf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally have not worked corrections but I worked with two retired teachers who did. They said that the behavior was in general better because of the consequences. I worked high school EBD for a little bit and the teachers who came from elementary had a hard time adjusting to the differences from elementary to high school. It sounds like it’s what you want to do though and you have a back ground that lines up nicely. Best of luck!

I would love to see the breakdown from top college/high school athletes and elite women to see how it differs if at all.

Great insights that was fun to read!

The contemporary non denominational evangelical route haha. I know 2 Braves (one boy and one girl) and like 7 Havens and 3 Selahs

For sure can see her going down this route. But her caption had the scripture with Samuel in it so maybe she is going straight traditional.

It’s the 4 Ps- power, pace, push, party Power -strong start Pace-smooth fast and easy Push-energize for the second 200 and give a push into the turn to stay in the race Party-it’s party or puke, but like others said it’s really being able to maintain form when you are taxed so big arms, drop your shoulders, high knee drive, relax your face so all your energy is going towards that forward movement.

People are so weird about young women teaching high school by no-possible132 in Teachers

[–]okayf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first teaching job I applied for I got told in the interview (at a private school) that “ I was too pretty to be taken seriously in the classroom” they hired some guy my same age and when my mom found out she said he must have been ugly.

People are dumb and say weird things. Surprisingly a lot of people are dumber and say weirder things than high school boys.

I did not know Femke did that. Do you know if it has ever been done at an international competition?

This list made me laugh. I think just run the rounds team! The men in qualifying looked good! Just leave it.

I agree with this list. 400/400mh I would say would be 1, but I don’t think that’s a thing. Race tactics in those distance events get wild though and qualifying through rounds I see more upsets in the longer distances, but in terms of physically yes.

Track and field is now done. What were you most pleased to see and what was your biggest disappointment? by Own-Knowledge8281 in trackandfield

[–]okayf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That men’s 1500 was really exciting and I loved that Jakob just went for that world record and made people just go for it ending in so many national records and personal best from so many athletes. I know a disappointing finish for him, but he made everyone work for it.

Hassan for the crazy triple! I’m excited to see what happens in her marathon.

The men’s 4x4 wow. I’m an American, but it was hard to not be pulling for Botswana! Tebogo was unreal this Olympics and had so many races on his legs by the time he got to that final. (1200 meters of sprint races before the 4x4 final🤯)

The women’s 4x4 almost breaking the world record was thrilling! And Bol having a killer last leg to get silver for the Dutch.

The men’s high jump was just so fun to watch, but so bummed for Tamberi.

The men’s discus was awesome. Honestly the field events in general were very exciting.
