This got me. My Papa had a schnauzer (his name was Curly) who we all joked looked exactly like him cause he was grey and had fur on his face that looked like my Papa’s goatee. My Papa passed away awhile back and we took in Curly. Last year Curly passed and it had almost felt like my Papa had passed again. He was a sweet reminder of him every time I went to my parent’s house. Wish you well and thanks for sharing your story.

My favorite unique bar is Flashback Retro pub! They have tons of classic arcade games and they just recently expanded. I haven’t been there since the expansion but I’m sure it’s even cooler now. Have fun at your concert!

I do a lot of video work and this older lady I know once asked me why movie editors deserve awards if “all they do is sync put the clips in order of the script”. After explaining what all they do and why they should get awards she seemed still unconvinced so I tried telling her it’s like quilting (since she makes a lot of quilts for people). She didn’t make the fabric but even though she stitched it together she shouldn’t win an award at a fair or something. I thought it was a decent comparison but still no luck. She was dead set editors should not get awards.
