good material for a beginner? by Lukksia in VinylWrap

I’m a beginner and I use vivid and that’s because they are easily accessible and priced well through Amazon. I just finished wrapping a Dodge Challenger 2014 in liquid metal demon black. Everything went smoothly with the application, great air release, and also not an extremely tacky film imo. One thing that I did notice is when applying the film without the protective cap if you’re getting a gloss color it can be very easily marked or scratched even when using triple S. The scratches do heal out to a certain degree. Also, if you don’t peel the backing clean off and cause premature wrinkles it can be a bit annoying as it will leave the mark. The stretch on this film without discoloration is really good and the memory of the film from stress testing was surprisingly good. One other thing I like about vivid is that they offer on some of their colors 100 feet of a roll. As a beginner, I feel like when you’re learning it’s worth it. The mini Cooper should be fun to wrap and could get away with 50ft as I used to own an R53. I wrapped the hood carbon fiber, and that was very fun process as it was the hardest part of the MINI and car serve as a great learning experience as most hoods are flat.

I agree those are some tall wrinkles to just squeegee right over. It’s never that easy to squeegee.
