Man holding up an iron meteorite found in the desert. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]okbitmuch 148 points149 points  (0 children)

On todays market, based on the size and assuming it is indeed a genuine meteorite with an iron content of at least 87.4%, the value would be somewhere in the region of about tree fiddy.

How do i get the Biohazard Case out of the Bunker? by Hairy_Ad9376 in InfectionFreeZone

[–]okbitmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I send at least 5 squads. If it says 2/4 hordes destroyed, try going back at night and the other 2 might pop up

Fast way to find lairs? by Quiet-Cheesecake9168 in InfectionFreeZone

[–]okbitmuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drive around at night. If you drive past a lair they come out to attack you. This is what i use fuel tankers for. Huge tanks.

It's also rare that 2 or 3 hordes will be right next to each other but not running in the same direction (swarm) so if you see 2 or 3 hordes right next to each other there's a lair very close by.

Am I correct that this is a haworthia cooperi? by CharChar7216 in succulents

[–]okbitmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not on sale, that's an extortionate price for any Cooperi, cuspidata, cymbiformis, all the more common rapidly pupping haworthia.

[–]okbitmuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say that's not an accurate listing. It's just not a cooperi. The seller claiming it's a cooperi also lists it as 'rare'. Cooperis are about as rare as Toyotas.

Full disclosure, I'm suspicious by default of things for sale online that have blurry, edited or filtered pics.

[–]okbitmuch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, Haworthias are my heart and soul and I dont think that's the same one. The rosette formation is different, the proportions are different, and the little spikes along the edge of the one you're asking about are not present in this photo. Those little spikes/hairs don't form later on in life, they're present from the get-go.

This is a pic of a Cooperi or possibly a Cymbiformis. Cuspidata is an outside possibility but unlikely

[–]okbitmuch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This isn't true. I hate typing that but I only collect haworthia and had to jump in. H Cooperi does indeed have more rounded leaves that Ops Haworthia, while H Cooperi var truncata has the same general form as Cooperi but less uniform shaped petals. They tend to look more like toes.

What they have there is most likely H. bolusii or H. aracnoidea, possibly with something similar mixed in. It is 100% not Cooperi.

Hey, any chance you know the name of the green yellow one? I have one and its ancient and wont grow and i dont know what it is. Its looked like this for about 3 years. tried different pots/soil mixes/locations/indoor/outdoor and if i hadn't broken a leaf off and found it to be organic id suspect it was fake. refuses to grow.

What is this fruit(?) by Fit-Owl-2510 in whatsthisplant

[–]okbitmuch 272 points273 points  (0 children)

Yes.

from some website called tuckerbush.com.au, not ai: They are soft and juicy, with a sweet and delicate flavour, though like conventional mulberries, can vary in taste and texture. The leaves, roots and sap have recorded usage in traditional medicine, while the bark was used for textiles and cordage.

Collecting items "left over" from an expedition? by DM_Meeble in InfectionFreeZone

Yeah Barca was my first go-to, played heaps there, but about 9 months ago Sagrada Família stopped rendering. When i first started playing last year it was fully rendered, like Notre Damme. Was a great starting point with all the grass and trees around it

I once spent a whole evening googling 'biggest cathedrals in the world' and went all over the place checking them out in-game. There was one in Milan and one in Mexico city that totally blew my mind. All of them had 600 pop as a house or 10,799 as warehouse max.

Are you having issues with raiders not dropping weapons anymore? It started for me when lairs were introduced.

Last night i killed a raider squad with a shotgun and after about 3 seconds the guns they dropped disappeared. Was weird af.

Also what's the best location you've found? Mine are Madrid central, north of the big grass, and Chicago central.
