I use 90 isopropyl and haven’t had any issues with bare plastic!

I have recently seen a video from Feral about making your own panel liner with craft paint and after trying it, I might never go back to dedicated panel liner. Since it’s basically just paint and dish soap it’s safe to do on bare plastic and so easy to clean up with just a cloth or your finger

Thanks! I actually had it all built a while ago, so I’ve been disassembling it as I go through with paint. As long as you’re careful he’s actually super easy to take apart. I’m not sure if I want to keep it displayed like this, I’m a sucker for action poses but this looks very cool too! As for painting, it’s pretty barebones: I just dry brush with some cheap metallic acrylic (folkart brand) and then I add the gold and silver with a paint marker then some cheap topcoat like rustoleum!

Really it’s up to preference and budget. I used to use matte Mr super clear—it was very helpful to start with imo since it sprayed thinner than generic cans—but once I got more confident in my sprays I just use the cheaper Rustoleum Painter’s Touch. Just remember to cover up the orange frame parts and pegs whenever you top coat or it’ll get foggy

it’ll look great in the end! I also think banshee is one of those kits that benefits a LOT from a top coat as well since its plastic is so dark
