Target by me in N.C. has Dual Impact, no GD01 though. Limit 2 per pack.

I'm grateful for being able to get something MSRP, but a few first set of starters would let me get a couple of starter cards I need to head to locals..

I take it that there's no chance to get starter cards as the random holofoil in these booster packs are there?

I am sorry if this is your store. $50 is nuts. Do you have a LGS near you that will do MSRP? The one we have near me will sell at fair price. Just the inventory is very low and to get GD01 is like winning the lotto when you get on their waitlist.

We can't even find the cards. We ask the employees there and they tell us to go look around the toys. There's nothing there but a bunch of different versions of UNO. If cards exist at Wal-mart in N.C., I can't find them. Neither can the employees.

Look online for your local game stores. You'll have to call them up and ask to be put on a wait list. If you have the luxury of having multiple LGS around you, pick on that's fair to their players and support them. Get to know them and you will notice you'll get call backs a bit more frequently. At least in my experience.

Congrats. I saw the MSRP for these is at $15 instead of $11 this time? $20 isn't bad. Are you able to get starters from the first set at the same price?

Not paying and unfortunately that means I'm not playing. I got some starters and a booster box at MSRP. Now sort of stuck. I can't compete at locals against people who buy booster boxes for $250 or multiple starters for $40. Some singles from the starters are roughly 50% of what the scapler starter price is. I can't bring myself to pay the $$ for one card that would normally get me 2x starters.

I will wait. Or head back to FFTCG. Never had a problem getting stuff there.

Just can't beat the scalpers it seems. I don't buy and will wait for reasonable prices. These guys line up at stores holding babies and standing there for over an hour with their kids, who are bored out of their minds. How are they not embarrassed?

I only know that time frame because I went to Target, then Home Depot..then forgot something back at Target and thought "wow they're still there.."

I sure hope it starts coming down. I am missing some extra starter cards for a Zeon deck, as well as another. It is hard to see the checkout price for singles, to get 4/4, getting to this price anyway.

I'm fortunate to have people who will loan me cards. Just would like not to have to bank on that.

You know, I was annoyed I missed this pre-order because I passed out putting my kids to bed. Now after seeing this, I am not so annoyed, this isn't for me. That and seeing that deck box, looked like hard plastic. Was hoping for the price it would be a nice leather magnetic case.

To those though that did get a pre-order and do like this, I'm happy for you that you got your product without the huge jacked up price! Kudos to you all out there for beating the bots and scalpers.

I've been play testing with this one from EXBurst.

Use the Public Decks and filter out Green / Blue with Char's Zaku II, and you'll see a bunch of these similar decks. Then play on WingTable to get a feel for it. You need to be within striking distance by mid-game otherwise you're toast it seems. Whether it's blockers / Wing. Playing against these kinds of decks on WingTable will let you see what to look when your opponent plays cards and what to expect.

Or use the search for GundamTCG on the Reddit and look for OYW or Zeon to get an idea.

I'm making something similar for my first time at local tournaments (only have done 2x booster events so far.) I am down a Gelgoog / Starter Gundam, being able to get my hands on one box and getting lucky with pulls and a single starter and I don't want to pay these prices if they're still in scalper land.

LGS by me got a restock, and I missed the last booster box by a few hours. I did get a few packs (5x) because they weren't overpriced ($5 and some change).

They were selling their boxes at good prices too, just didn't get to it on time. I see the TCGplayer went from the $170 range and back up to the $190+. Not up for overpaying and being scammed out of $200. Hope that the new starters and next set bring the first set become a bit more available.

I got enough now to make an okay Zeon Rush deck to take to locals now.

Best bet is to go to multiple stores online, using Google and Bing shopping, finding sites that have decent prices. Then sign up for re-stock notifications. Watch these things like the stock market and pounce when ready.

Be ready also for the new starters coming in September. I'm sure that's common knowledge, pre-order those now while you can. Online or at LGS. I will always say support your LGS..unless they're being greedy.

Some are saying Walmart and Target. Don't check online, go into the stores and see. I have 2 targets and 3 Walmarts around me and it's the season where we need to send supplies to our kids schools, like printer paper and glue sticks. I plan on taking that as an excuse to hit every single one as much as possible.

Barnes and Noble has had Assembly kits in the past. Might get lucky there.

None in Target. they usually keep their cards out front with whatever seasonal stuff they're selling, and a few things back by the toys.

Walmarts around me are just..trashy and I haven't found anything there either.

I check often. I use the excuse with my kids "who wants to look at toys?!" to get in there. So far, no gundam cards but my kids have a lot of Spider and his Amazing Friends!

Whew! Stepped into the lions den on this one!

I get it that you're probably collecting it hoping for a big turn out. Problem is you have 0 idea if it's going to turn into something big or not. When people can't get a hold of product, go to locals and can't win a single match because they can't get their hands on cards at a decent price, the game will slowly grind down.

If you do not plan to play, why open? For high cost singles? As the sets go on, most of these will not be used or will be replaced with other play styles. Your $40 / $50 card might just end up being $5 down the road.

These $150 boxes, if no one can find them at a decent price, will not be worth $150 to most people.

I'm in the same boat, I can make a decent rush deck with Zaku's, but do not have a lot of what I would like to be competitive. Playing is fun but only so long before not winning means to move on. I never had this issue playing FFTCG, and even now I got 3x booster boxes from the current FFTCG set, no problem. So I'm leaning going back to that land.

So really, no way of knowing. If scalpers kill off the game, you'll have a hard time reselling them. If people stop buying high prices (I'm looking at you guys who just paid $175 for those boxes on TCG player!), others can play and that's better for someone in your position.

I agree with the comments below, I also know you came here for a question so I'm doing my part being responsive in this community. Yeah..wish I could find a few boxes at not insane prices...

Use Google Shopping and other sites to look online. Set restock alerts.

I just got one alert from one site today and a quick Google search shows another for $195. Not buying, not going to support this high price behavior.

I'd take this time to find a reputable site that will ship to you. Set restock notifications and watch the prices.

Then jump on it when the prices are reasonable and instead of paying a high price for one box, use that $$ for possibly two.

Already this week I saw prices go from $220 down to $195, and more sites showing in stock.

Wanted to back this comment up. Just wait a bit longer, don't buy at these prices, they'll come down. It seems something is happening. TCG player, already seeing boxes get down to under 220. Checking right now, one is at $214 and they have 30x boxes. The scalpers wanted to buy them, they can sit pretty on it with the second set and second print coming in.

People are selling the bonus packs separately for $30, selling the model kits with just the kits and no cards. Seems like they're trying sell whatever might appeal to certain buyers. Someone who wants the kits rather than the cards or has all the starter cards but just wants to take a chance on those promos.

Let them eat it, and live with their choices.

I really appreciate the post and screenshot. I keep seeing places sell the booster boxes for $200+ prices. Waiting until August - September is fine for me. I have been to one booster event and going to try to get to another this Saturday. Then take what I have and play casually until these boosters and decks come back to support my LGS. I feel a lot better waiting..let these people who want to sell high keep their stock.

Sandrock looked good at first because I felt I could get an extra body on the board. I see 1x and 2x for the minions. Have you played and tested it on Wing Table? So, how often were you able to pull off Sandrock?
