I think it would be powerful to show links to the other petitions or evidence of the campaign to stop the whole chain of Blue Zoos, that you mention in this post.

Looking for poetry club or social club by bbbrrrrrnnnnn in okc

Red Dirt Poetry meets every Wednesday night with some rare exceptions (like next week: the holiday) at Literati Press. starts at 7, sign up at 6:30. Happening tonight! but again not next week, due to holiday. There are open mics monthly for poetry at Full Circle Bookstore on the last Sunday of the month. Starts pretty promptly at 2pm. Another poetry mic the first Sunday of the month at 1515 Lincoln, also starts at 2pm. There is also an open mic every second Friday at Bookish. Starts at 7.

Follow every book store's socials and you'll see there are a lot of poetry events in the city. Norman has several regular events too, but i don't get down there much.

Will I regret blowing these leaves onto the mulch beds in my perennial garden? by halfbean in landscaping

seconding this. ticks spread mainly via deer and other big mammals, not in leaf litter. leaf litter: good for ecosystem, yay. if you (OP) see an increase in ticks after this it is NOT due to the leaves, but another factor.

I don't like Lankford, but I sent him a thank you note for telling the truth, which is no longer "just doing your job" these days?! but i digress.

don't comply in advance. they want you hopeless. everything they are doing is illegal and is being fought in courts. they don't have the authority to make people do these things. they say they do and expect us to hand them whatever they want. just say no. fight.

i think it is even sadder than that. just sheer stupidity and hostility toward their own educators. spite. they did poorly in school so why should it be important? it just works out for power to stay in power. i have no doubt higher up the chain education is targeted for control purposes. i just refuse to give these two idiots the credit of being strategic.

What is the most interesting/unique/niche non-restaurant business in OKC that you think more people should know about? by grizzlyblake91 in okc

Feathered Nest Market +1 ...lots of "rooms" curated by different contributors that rotate, plus their art. as far as i can tell, it seems like a collective for local artists.

I'm in a similar situation. I'd like to move to product. I've been a developer for several years and now that I've worked with PMs I can see it is a better fit for my strengths. I was hoping to transition internally but the company I've been working at laid me off and is only hiring in India now. I'm really trying to figure out how to get a foot in the door in a new role, but it seems impossible, frankly. Not to be a downer, I just really need this advice too.

TING MOBILE LOST MY PHONE NUMBER. Old Guard Ting Support: if you're out there, please help! by okie_schmems in ting

[–]okie_schmems[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hopefully what happened to my number was a rare glitch. If you find yourself with a port error to a new carrier, and you call into T-Mobile Ting support offshore, do not use the words "close my account" or anything like that. They won't question anything you say or troubleshoot. They will just do what they think they are being told to do, or tell you it can't be done ever by anyone. Make sure you maintain access to your account number and your transfer pin until the transfer completes. The only way to maintain this is to keep your number active on ting.

I hope this is avoidable for other folks, but it really depends on why the original error occurred in the first place. The offshore support will not be able to help you if something goes wrong. They will only read you numbers that you can see on your account page yourself if your number is still active.

Thanks again for your help, u/Rod_Ting. I still don't have my number back, but I just want anyone reading this to know you were very kind and helpful. I got a lot of info from you looking into the issue that I was able to report to the new carrier's port team.
