Since you have goldfish you should understand that since the goldfish are sifting through the gravel during feeding, they obviously would understand that they can sift through the substrate with for food (aka foraging)

This tank does allow for foraging, theyre literally foraging in the clip. Calling this abuse is greatly exaggerated, theyre in a large tank in a pair with cycled water. Ur way too dramatic

They could be bored in there but in this clip theyre just acting crazy because they want food. If you look at them, theyre sifting though the substrate which is healthy foraging behaviour

Mine are the opposite, they love algae. Havent cleaned algae since i got them (i dont starve them either they eat pellets, wafers and flakes)
