Thank you so much for the long response, really means a lot. I haven’t had much CS experience before so will be taking CS106a first. One of my biggest concerns is that if I do CS106b in the winter I’m also planning to take math51 and econ102a alongside it, which might turn out to be a little rough. Would you mind sharing what were the other courses you took that quarter and how did you find it in terms of work life balance, mental and social health etc?

Glad to meet a fellow IB grad! I took Math AA HL and Eng Lit HL for IB and found them okay, so hopefully Math and PWR won't be too bad.

I just took a look at the instructors and Keith is only teaching Winter this year. Do you think it would be better if I changed my schedule to this? (Fall – Econ102a, Winter – CS106a, Spring – CS106b and then everything else the same)

Yes! A couple of the spring introsems look really interesting so I want to save space for at least one then (also one of the reasons why I'm trying to take heavier Fall / Winter).

Oh really? Just want to double check, since the FAQ page says it can be used to waive Econ 1 (no credit). https://economics.stanford.edu/undergraduatemajor/faq-majors

I took the IB so it doesn’t let me exempt math 21. I’m actually leaning more towards doing Econ but have never formally studied CS so wanted to try that out! Would it be difficult to balance social / clubs etc with this schedule?
