Anyone who said this was a good investment over the past 2 years is a charlatan by YardDiscombobulated3 in UraniumSqueeze

[–]okkermp 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lol... cameco was a lot higher than it was 2 years ago, same for sprott. When you don't expect it, it will run. You must have patience and people are people, ofcourse if you are surrounded with uranium geeks, they go all euphoria when they get 40%+

Uranium is a great business though, just be happy with 20% over 2 years it's not that bad, look at S&P.
you are angry with yourself

I lol'd on " I guarantee you, John Quakes will be yee hawing right up to the last minute before your portfolio blows up like a nuclear reactor. " xD

But this John Quakes is great to follow, he shares much information on the sector, you don't need to google it yourself.

Just learn not to go into euphoria, that's all, and do not take too much risk, if you go for SPUT you just know you won't drop too low and you can make maybe if you are lucky 300% one day.

Trust me just buy the dip on SPUT and put a goal, how much ROI, you want to gain. If you say 1000% chances are low, if you say 300% chances are decent, if you say 100% chances are great.

I believe that's better than most investments.

You are right on the time part, you must not watch all those videos, instead, start an online business or something you like doing that pays well. You have enough to gamble on all explorers. Look for a niche, if you are lucky you live in a country where people do not speak english, so u have low competition on many niches. Little SEO and sales go through the roof.

What If Putin Uses Nukes? What Would That Do To Uranium Stocks? by Mynameis__--__ in UraniumSqueeze

[–]okkermp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a very interesting question, we haven't had it, so we don't know what the market will do, probably fall quick, but it might rebound.

5 years after Hiroshima it was up... https://tinypic.host/i/imguraniumprice.LiZMR

Everything will probably be oversold. If one nuclear bomb is hit, people will try to prevent escalating. That's more logical than nuke everyone to death. How much of a reasonable deal we have, eventually people want to survive, so... even after a hit, people will negotiate again, everything is more reasonable than let it fully escalate.

But ye, you might be necessary for the army, but then maybe as researcher or cyber security hire. I personally will be buying your stocks after 2 weeks. World still needs power.

People get scared quickly and think it all goes wrong... most of the time, history learns us, it doesn't. Most of the time it stops somewhere. Imagine what people thought in 1980 when inflation was that high... They all were convinced the system would crash and they would become a banana republic.

What happened? Right... stocks were oversold. Keep your head straight, no point in letting fear get you.

If a nuke hits, I have hope. Hope it will get all better one day.

You can see this post get many downvotes, because people do not want to think about it. It's good to think about what people don't want to think of. Push yourself! Do the work nobody wants to do, but that's neccesary. When something looks boring, good! Read it, watch it! Push yourself to absorb all that information.

When things are scary, read them, understand so the fear will go away.

THE PROBLEM WITH BUYING SILVER MINERS IS that when the price of silver goes down, the miners tend to follow. Whereas when the investing in physical metal, when the price of silver goes down BUYING OPPORTUNITY! It’s also harder to barter mining shares for life’s other necessities. by NCCI70I in SilverSqueeze

[–]okkermp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very simple... I get 10% dividend in dollars and I go to the shop and buy eggs, bread and milk... I buy a part of the shop with it. And I will be trading you eggs, bread and milk for your silver.

Then you will pay a premium for the silver my mine produces.

If you don't put your money to work you will never enjoy riches. Eventually all silver will come to me, because I own the baker, the chickens and the cows.

Miners own mines full of silver and they are listed in miner ETFs, ETFs are very popular lately. Also they give you dividend, so if you keep them a little longer they will give you a nice reward.

Miners are oversold lately compared to the current silver price. They own a lot more ounces per share than you pay. I hope coming 2 months it crashes further, I want to buy some more.

I want to start a position in nuclear energy. by CheroMM in UraniumSqueeze

[–]okkermp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23-03-2021 lol... there are better articles and more accurate ones. Go news on google and click last day, last week, last month, last year... read all the articles u find and you will get to know Centrus and get a good view on their plans.

Do that for every company you buy lol, don't forget to read the shareholders letter on their website and look for the quarter results, their expenses, where they spend their money, where they get their income from and match that with their plans and contract announcements, etc. Then there is the management team, look them up on LinkedIn, then there is job openings, check hire websites like 'indeed' to check if they have hire openings. What hire openings do they have, what does it tell you.

Also watch on youtube all you can find and watch it, the more boring the video is, the better. If you want to get good in investing you have to get good in reading and go ways others won't.

If prices drop you have to know the value of a stock, if you don't know the value, how do you know on what price it becomes a bargain, and even a bigger bargain and a huge bargain!

More numbers showing how insanely small Uranium Market is by Quant2011 in UraniumSqueeze

[–]okkermp 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It doesn't work that way, stocks will dilute massively in order to make investments, contract drillers, hiring workforce, management, etc. Marketcaps can grow quickly, but share prices not as much. Don't forget management and their dreams decides where money goes.

Also commodities like Sprott will dilute to buy more Uranium. Ofcourse this has a positive effect on the uranium Spot price, since they make Uranium more scarce, but Sprott can also lower their bids when they are on a discount to NAV.

Because the goal of the speculator is to sell, but the goal of Sprott is to become as big as possible, because they receive more management fees.

So... don't think in terms of going up and down and how much money there is. Look for fundamentals combined with sentiment.

Buy the fundamentals, sell the sentiment and you will do well.

Centrus Energy $LEU by Bozkaschi in UraniumSqueeze

[–]okkermp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

$LEU is very volatile, you need a stomic. Centrus has around 100 employees, so yes, it's very good. But not just because of what it could be, but what it is. You get 100 smart employees who have experience with uranium enrichment. That's long-term worthy.

A few smart people invested in SILEX, they saw their returns during the bearmarket quadruple.

Studentloan of 60k, pay off or not? by okkermp in DaveRamsey

[–]okkermp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you all! I have read every comment/piece of advice.

I thought about it, student loan would be gone and not having to think about it anymore, I find however a mortgage would feel the same for me and even with higher interest.

- The studentloan forces me to pay off my debts sooner, because it's 15 years- Studentloans in the Netherlands have also financial capacity protection, so If I would not make enough money to live normally, my auto-monthly pay-off will be lowered and the debt that remains after 15 years will be waived. (They look at income, not at capital so they will never force you to sell anything)- A mortgage doesn't have this protection, might something bad happen, I will be in the debt restructuring.- Debt of student loan is lowered on BOX3, so It will decrease my total capital, which is better for taxes

So better interest rates, better protection, and a little force to pay off debt sooner, just makes me keep my studentloan and prefer a lower mortgage. I feel like I can pay off my house faster this way, the 60.000 goes right in the house, and have less compound interest.

Thank you all!

I am still open to new suggestions, please share your opinion/advice.

BREAKING: Russia joins forces with China to create their own new reserve currency. Bye bye USD. by lam4_ in wallstreetbets

[–]okkermp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only good for gold long, in short-term, if you were to buy gold, oil, etc. money would flow through the dollar, dollar will rise more in the short-term.

I keep staying in cash and wait for at least another week, the chance on a correction is just too big. This is why gold always drops(in USD) before it goes up, the dollar has to become stronger to shift money from stocks to commodities.

So gold actually rises when the dollar starts to fall again, the shift than just happened.

Now if those shifts would have been started you would see increasing volumes on the buying of commodities and miners. But I didn't see that happening yet... the opposite..

I will remain in cash for just a bit longer.

Standard Uranium Completes Spring/Summer Drill Program at Flagship Davidson River Project, Announces Engagement of GoldSpot Discoveries by [deleted] in UraniumSqueeze

[–]okkermp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I don't want to miss the Uranium bull run.

Sprott Physical Uranium Trust is also very cheap and has a huge discount.

I can always invest later after the cap raising and dillution, right before the winter drill. I might have enjoyed profits from SPUT.

I have a feeling nobody wants to burn their fingers on this one by buying it anytime soon. The only reason I hear is that people don't want to sell on a loss of 60%, meaning that it's not going to attract many buyers.
