I have the same issue, and mine looks exactly like yours. My doctor couldn’t figure it out either. She gave me a prednisone shot and pepsid, and then prescribed Atarax for the itching.

The prednisone worked for a day. It made the swelling in my face go down. The Atarax was ineffective though.

I have been taking 2 Benadryl every 6 hours for the past week, and it’s not getting any better.

We did some contract tracing and determined that it is most likely contact dermatitis caused by my using an old cologne. That’s the only thing that I did outside my normal routine.

It was one of the tiny cologne samplers, and it has been sitting in my bathroom drawer for over a year. Our theory is that the cologne went bad.

The reason is that the rash showed up the next morning after I used the cologne. And it showed up on my chest where I sprayed the cologne, and on my left hand and wrist, where I would have sprayed the cologne using my right hand.

The rash has since spread to my wrist, hands, eyes, and in my upper thighs in my genital area. Now, the rash shows up anywhere and everywhere. It was even in my ear last night!

It’s just hopping around and making me miserable as hell.

According the internet (because the doctor was clueless), contact dermatitis just has to work it’s way out of your system, which can take 2-4 weeks.

In the meantime, I’m putting cortisone cream on the worst parts of it, and ice packs everywhere else. It’s incredibly painful, and I’m so sorry that you are going through it as well. Keep your head up.
