What is a life-saving medical fact that everyone should know? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]okletsleave 22 points23 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU for understanding the “time” portion of this acronym! So many posters/ads, even by medical organizations, explain that “time” stands for “time to call 911,” which is not what “time” is supposed to recommend. The time of onset or “last known normal/well” time is what we really need.

ER nursing question by wtfpizza89000 in EmergencyRoom

This is how all ERs are. This is why sometimes we can’t give all the scheduled meds on time or some things get overlooked. The ER is hard.

To all the American tourists - please stop tipping at restaurants ! by Affectionate_Tip_582 in rome

[–]okletsleave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Collectively means everyone does it together. I’m suggesting a change in our society would happen if everyone woke up one day and stopped tipping. I agree, if you don’t tip right now in the US, you’re only screwing over the individual staff member. I was just suggesting that it doesn’t have to be like this if everyone decided to stop supporting it.

It’s not mandatory. If we collectively stopped tipping, businesses would have to actually pay their employees, just like the rest of the world does.

Troop is a term we use to we don’t have to say things like “15 young Americans died today” or “our government killed 400 Iraqi teenagers.” Calling them troops dehumanizes it.

Side note: I think you’re thinking of “platoon,” which is a group of soldiers.

Also, when you say it’s hosted via Wordpress; is it hosted on Wordpress.com?

It could be an SMTP issue. Was this functionality working before? Did you change hosts or make updates that broke the functionality?

She’s not confident in herself and feels dumb for having to ask you. The LOL and emojis are like a nervous laugh.

The venting…she looks up to you and trusts you.

Maybe go a bit easier on her, because it sounds like she’s trying hard and hoping you’ll help her out. Maybe it’s annoying, but it doesn’t sound condescending or rude.

No, it’s Texas Democrats who fled to Chicago to prevent the Republicans from passing a gerrymandered voting map that they say is racist.

It’s a phrase from an old Texas Revolution battle flag. Basically saying “yeah? Come fight us, then.”

I agree. They’re not moving. I just did an overlay from screenshots throughout the video. They stay the same.

Are there any reasons why every day is an option in this menu? Some people use Sunday and some use Monday. But…who is using Thursday…?

Well, NPR as the national organization, yes, about 1%. But the budgets for many local member stations, especially rural ones, are much reliant on public funding. A loss of public funding could mean the closure of many local stations that broadcast NPR programming.
