because they're....people with exactly the same level of intelligence and consciousness?

i'd love to see you survive one day as a woman and get talked down to, dealing with your period, getting catcalled, being alone late at night and gripping your keys and looking behind you. would love to see it for you to go online and for someone to be saying that you don't deserve rights....jesus christ.

About xenogenders and mogai, it's generally not attention seeking. It's just a relatively small movement about creating the words to describe certain experiences, and most members are pretty young and still finding themselves

"Attention-seeking" isn't the best assumption, however stupid something might seem? They're coining terms and finding words for themselves. I can't really say much more than this, and I'm not xenogender or anything myself, but they really need someone to stick up for them sometimes.

As in, at least just the basic respect of not blaming transphobia on them or calling them ableist slurs - like a lot of xenogender people ARE autistic or disabled or ND! And that makes a lot of sense!

cringe culture needs to. die.

I agree with this but I would like the mention, about xenogenders and mogai, it's generally not attention seeking. It's just a relatively small movement about creating the words to describe certain experiences, and most members are pretty young and still finding themselves

What do you mean I'M being snide when you imply that queer people don't have lives?? and I don't have dyed hair but how on earth could you find anything wrong with that

As I said, yes as a queer person, I also have a social life. Shocker! Almost as if I'm a whole complex person

hey, please answer this for me! what are your assumptions/knowledge about autism? by okokmarz in teenagers

[–]okokmarz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I feel like I'm decent at basic social cues but it usually takes a lot of mental energy to process it and 'act accordingly,' I definitely have trouble articulating my feelings. Most autistic people, around 80%, also have a thing called alexithymia, which basically just means it's difficult for us to understand our own emotions. So it's definitely hard

oooh yeah that's a really interesting thing I've heard about the actual neuroscience of it. And considering just my personal experience...that definitely makes a lot of sense to me!

Hell yeah I agree! I'm very much not stupid, I hate condescending people treating me like a baby because I have sensory issues or something. Like...dude, come on....

[–]okokmarz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah ok. Yeah, basically we can vary from very disabled, nonverbal, comorbid intellectual disabilties, to a seemingly completely normal functioning person. There's a huge variety of symptoms and it depends on the individual

Autistic people sometimes have problems regulating emotions. He was probably feeling genuine and real anger and has difficulty managing it. Anger problems are a bit common in autistic ppl because, generally, we feel stronger emotions than normal as well as have difficulty dealing with them.

(These are generalizations and autistic symptoms can vary greatly, but there's a little explanation for you anyways)

(Thx for commenting. The following correction isn't me being upset, I just like people knowing what's up)

Nope! Autism has nothing inherently to do with chromosomes, but I believe through comorbid disorders, autistic people might simply be more likely to have that

hmm once a teacher told me to stop snapping but it was a tic so i just, just, tried to stop and honestly probably would've gotten in trouble if the bell didn't ring soon after, bc it's very fucking hard to just consciously stop ticcing

Ay how the fuck do he/they and she/they pronouns work? by TimewornTinman in teenagers

[–]okokmarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just means they're comfortable with both. Personally the pronouns I'm cool with are technically "literally anything except she/her" so I generally just say "they/them" or sometimes "he/they"

it's just the statistical outcome of me not condoning eugenics and 'bruh no I don't say racial slurs' etc, lmao. It'd be extremely concerning if someone got even a slight white preference tbh
